Excellent doctors but impossible to see them as the booking system is broken and never have any staff to answer phones. Urgent GP visit offered in 2 weeks time. Most of the time you will be send to 111 or walking centre.

My husband has been trying to get some painkillers. He has been told he needs to see the doctor as he cannot get them on a repeat prescription? Nobody told him this despite him using the NHS app and requesting them. Ten days ago he went into the practise and asked for help? We have changed to a Triage system the lady said and told him he had to use the app and follow the links. Well, he had put his appt needed to be after 3pm, that was ignored? Then on the link it said to call if there was no appts? He did call, no help? So how do you get to either speak or see a GP at Glenlea?? Total lack of care. All they say its the Governments fault? This is crazy.

Truly awful service at Glenlea Surgery and West Leeds Family Practice as a whole. Whoever manages this place seriously needs to make changes. The receptionists have no empathy, no tact, and no willingness to actually do their job — their attitude is snotty and dismissive. You can’t even book on the day anymore; even if you call right at 8 a.m., they just tell you there are no appointments and that you have to go online through West Leeds Family Practice. So you follow all the steps online, only to get an SMS that says your form has been reviewed and that you need a routine face-to-face appointment. It even gives you a link to book — but when you click it, there are no available appointments. It tells you to try again in a few hours, and if nothing shows up, to contact West Lodge Surgery. You try again in a few hours, still no appointment, then, when you finally call them, they say there’s nothing available for the next two weeks. It’s like being trapped in an endless loop — a dog chasing its own tail — while you’re in excruciating pain and just need help. And to make things worse, the GPs themselves seem completely out of their depth. In my case, one of them had to open an incognito Google page to look up what a “HyCoSy” is. I’m sorry, but that’s something a doctor should already know. The level of incompetence and carelessness here is beyond belief and this just has to finish.

Rang up on Monday morning to change a Covid /flu appointment and got a lovely helpful receptionist. She sorted it quickly and efficiently and rebooked it straight away. Thanks

Been here twice. All the staff I’ve seen have been great and always running on time. Thanks for really understanding my fear of needles :)

The practice is amazing but just a bit of extra appreciation for Miella, she is so professional and speak to patients with empathy and treats patients fairly, every experience I have had with her on the phone has always gone above and beyond, I feel very comfortable discussing personal information with this lady and although I have never met her I believe she deserves a lot of credit for the amazing lady she is, thank you for all your help it doesn't go unnoticed. I sent a message to the surgery, to say my repeat prescription was due over the Christmas period and could they please do it early for me, so that I was covered... Nothing! So I've had to order when I am supposed to and now I am left without medication... Brilliant work! It's all gone downhill since Dr Lee retired. The doctors are still in hiding, but still don't fulfill their roles properly!!! I only have faith in one doctor there, but sadly she's part time... I'll be looking for another surgery in the New Year.

*edited* Very rarely have I had to deal with this level of (non) service and incompetence. Edited to say that the medical staff are completely fine IF you get to see them. It's the Soviet style bureaucracy from the non medical staff that causes major problems and huge amounts of stress.

One of the worst practices I've ever been registered with. The doctors and nurses are all very nice & professional but obviously incredibly understaffed. It's nigh on impossible to get through on the phone at 8am. Impossible to get a same day appointment. I recently had to get a bus to A&E because I was left in a telephone queuing system for over one and a quarter hours (at position number one for almost 40 minutes) which I decided to hang up on. Turned out I have shingles which needed immediate medication. Something I wouldn't have got at Glenlea.
