This is the best place to go if you need your 13th reason or even all of them. Staff treat you like youre worthless and a waste of their time and act as though its a burden looking after you. The consultants dont even know your name never mind ever talk to you, they cant get the basics right so how do you expect to feel safe in their care when the first point of action is usually hands on (leaving bruises) other interventions can be used first. Red Kite View does not make it easy for patients to live outside of hospital again normally due to their low quality of care.

Made a world of difference don’t know where I’d be today if it wasn’t for rkv and their amazing staff, specifically the nurse Simone who was the best part of my days and has inspired me to become a mental health nurse, your child will be in safe hands here

My child was discharged 3 months ago, having been admitted for over 5 months. He made zero progress. I wanted to write a constructive review for other parents. 1. There are absolutely no phone controls or monitoring of usage. My child was left unmonitored as they state they dont have the facilities to monitor. 2. There is absolutely no CCTV inside the ward. I witnessed one horrific use of force, which was unnecessary. We complained extensively but there was a culture of you v them; they will use alot of force to restrain; 3. Significant reliance on bank staff meaning they have no specialist training resulting in very poor care; 4. Alot of the nursing team are unsympathetic to the parent and child, almost like the child is an inconvenience to them; 5. Huge data breaches, we were privy to a fellow child's home address as this was disclosed to a taxi driver by staff in our presence. 6. Lack of effort and engagement to implement any care plan. My child was left for weeks without the room being cleaned, clothes were left soiled for months. 7. No help whatsoever if the child goes AWOL from their site. We were once left on our own throughout a whole night searching the grounds. There is no on site cameras beyond the actual entrance point. 8. Out of office hours there is a delay in the security doors being opened, ample opportunity for a child to run away. 9. The clinical staff and social work team are very good, its the nursing staff that are a huge let down. We raised all these concerns all the way to the CQC, its appalling to think this is the care a mentally unwell child can recieve in a developed country. It will completely erode your trust and confidence in the UK mental health service. We are left scarred by this experience, i am having to rebuild my child again at home. He has improved remarkably since the discharge. Your child willl suffer, you will suffer. Please think carefully before agreeing to a admission here.

To say how much money this place cost to set up. My son entered this hospital just 8 weeks after it opened. The staff especially the consultant at the time currently on long term sick probably getting paid still to stop at home but at least children are save and not receiving his care is a disgrace. No communication with parents or patients. My son nearly died here. They take no responsibility for anything or they actions. My son repeatedly told myself and staff them moment he leave he would take his own life. Which very nearly happened but lucky not. He was admitted into another mental health hospital and spent another 13 months in. The hospital where he got admitted to couldn’t believe he considered for discharge as he was not ready.

this mental health unit is meant too be a place for young-people who suffer from mental health in different ways and different mental health problems but it isn't even a mental health unit its more like a prison.. the patients who are or who have been in this unit not all of them have been treated how they should be getting treat with respect.. manners.. not taking care of patients how they should be getting taken of care how they should be such a the staff in the mental health unit don't do their job properly as they should they are very disrespectful they have missed appointments with patients also no communication with no-one they don't not inform patients parents/guardian/careers as witch should be expected this metal health unit should get new staff and shadow them until they know the staff can handle the job properly if this needs cant be met this place should be closed down as it isn't recommended and I am my self ashamed of this place its horrible how they treat the patients in here... please everyone stay away from here
