This GP practise is becoming worse as the years go on. Absolute bullying nature of the practice. The practice manager has no understanding of disabilities and no understanding of how they have affected a person for the last few years, by forcing them to go down to the sugery, and this person they are forcing is incapable of looking after themselves. They have totally disregarded what happened before when forced down to attend the sugery and other people who have seen what happened when the person was in chronic distress. Please look at the distress you cause to people with disabilities (not the only one at this practise that this is happening to right now) you should be ashamed of your practise with the bulling nature of your ways. How do other services understand the disabilities, but a medical professionals place doesn't understand. This absolutely doesn't make sense. I really do hope they improve themselves as some of the medical staff at the surgery are really nice, but the practice is letting them down too. The amount of times you have refused to help with home appointments, when needed to see in person, which has led them have then been forced to other emergency services which has ALSO caused server distress which they have been told, when they have had to attend due to the surgery ignoring (why they think its just the surgey is beyond thought). And It wouldn't have had to get to that stage, if the surgery had of done what they needed to do to treat in the first place. They have been told repeatedly to them that any journey out, causes distress that's why it's avoided. Bullied by them to go down and forced by them. Why they choose to ignore is a bad practise on them. Its also a shame that they ignored their own receptionist staff who saw and agreed it was not right for thre patient. Also what the surgery had done to force the patient to come down. So this surgery they seem to think ignorance is bliss. It was a better surgery when it was run by real Doctors with real compassion and took an hippocratic oath for their patients and had better values. Im not bitter at all about it, im so, so, tired of being bullied and lied to. The 1 star goes to the receptionist, because they were a beacon of hope.

I dropped one of this surgery's patients blood tests off for them. Signs in the car park said only for people using the surgery and that the car park was monitored, I was using the surgery for their patient in a proffeshional capacity so thought they'd be no issue. The receptionist never told me that I had to register my car. Now I have a £170 fine for taking your patients bloods. "It's nothing to do with us!", you employ the firms who's regulating it don't you?

Trying to get a repeat Prescription that I've had for the last 10 years, but apparently I need to push a "note" through the letter box. This all seems very very very informal so I ask why can't you just write my name and address down now and deal with it later, as I work away from home and can't physically get down. I am then informed that they can't write the note for me because it takes too long. So... we carry on arguing for another 5 minutes about it... I did a test run and it took me 14 seconds to write my name and address down, but they decided arguing about it for a further 4 minutes and 46 seconds would be more productive instead. I then called back and asked if I could email them instead, and they said yes. Why didn't they just suggest that when I explained I couldn't get down. I don't know if it's the system, the staff or the patients but something is fundamentally broken here.

I’m not entirely sure what the bad reviews are about! I assume the commenters are bitter people.. This Health Centre is great! Always an appointment available same day. Obviously a phone queue in the mornings, but that’s expected! All the staff are pleasant and no fuss. If you want a good NHS? Stop voting Tory..

Absolutely awful, I've been trying to get an appointment with a doctor who understands my mental health issues for over a year, unfortunately it's just not possible at Mirfield Health Centre. Several of the doctors I have been forced to see by unhelpful or uncaring receptionists have actively made my mental health much worse, with me leaving their consultation room feeling much worse upon leaving than entering. The receptionists are incredibly unhelpful and to be quite honest rude - just calling or having to speak to them brings me out on hives, severe anxiety and unable to breath. I don't know how to treat my mental health issues going forward, but it seems I won't be getting any help from Mirfield Health centre. A large portion of the reason my mental health is getting worse is because of the poor care from Mirfield Health Centre. Such as being unable to access medication, support services or even just someone supportive. I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't a mental health crisis in Mirfield or the suicide rates go through the roof as a result of this place.

Awful, just awful. Receptionists who lie. Doctors who it is impossible to make an appointment with. Doctors who have made suicide thoughts even worse. I may as well just end it all rather than get an appointment at this place.

Nightmare 10 month in pain until ct scan and then 7 hour emergency operation that could have seen a 2 young children without a Dad . Just couldn’t get to see a fully qualified doctor.

Absolutely brilliant service from all the staff and Doctors at Mirfield Surgery. I just can't praise them highly enough. I have been a patient there for well over 15+ years and in that time I can genuinely say that the service I have received has been excellent. Thank you.

Absolutely hopeless. Reception think they own the practice and everything is too much trouble for them. Disgraceful. Does anyone know how to pick up the phone.
