Amazing service! Massive thank you to Sheryl (hope i spelled it right) We just adopted a lady lurcher and Sheryl helped us select the perfect harness for her and gave us some fantastic advise regarding collars and the breed in general.

I went in this evening and got served by who I believe is called Shammy. I have never had such an unfriendly greeting at the till. As we approached the till we smiled like we always do and said hi and in response we got a miserable “have you got the app”. The rest of the shop was nice and clean but unfortunately this hostile attitude ruined the experience.

Awesome as usual. Took my bird here the other week to get treats. He screamed all the way around but the staff loved him. Really friendly and great stock as always.

Weird rude manners, and microaggression, from staff member Sarah. Pets at Home, expected better. So disappointed. Husband went to the till and one person was being served by Sarah, who was pleasant with them. After that several people joined the queue. Sarah proceeded to serve the people in a line, ignoring my husband who was waiting behind the first person being served. Husband politely said, "I was before this gentleman", and Sarah retorted "You have to queue this way". Husband explained, "I was stood here before the queue built up can you serve me?" (He had one item to pay for and is not a regular customer). Sarah then rudely responded "It's manners". At this point one wonders whether a foreign sounding and looking man would argue whether this was a microaggression. Husband asked "Are you going teach me manners?" The next person in line let my husband be served and my husband thanked him. Sarah gave zero rating customer service at this point, didnt ask if husband has a membership, didnt thank him, showed no manners, but everyone else got good service. Just wondering whether there was any racial prejudice involved? Or just a general lack of customer service training with this member of staff (although they were perfectly fine with other customers).

Today, I decided to adopt a very cute Russian dwarf hamster called Nacho, who is now named Buddy. The level of care and compassion shown to this little hamster by the staff at Pets at Home was lovely to see, and little Buddy is a credit to those staff members' hard work. Pet shops get a bad reputation, but without companies like Pets at Home and their caring staff, what would we be left with? I'm sure Buddy wouldn't have been given a second chance, and my little girl wouldn't have gotten to meet her best little buddy. So thanks!

This place is absolutely horrible. I wouldn’t even give it one star. As I was refused from being able to buy fishes twice. The workers kept giving excuses as they could not be bothered to do their jobs. Went on Monday and they refused to let us buy a fish. Went again on Wednesday, and the women kept giving me excuses that you have to keep 3 angel fishes together. However, this is not the truth. As previously we had fishes and it was not a problem back then. Have the rules changed. Need to give training to your workers on how to deal with a customer. I will never ever shop from this place again. RUDE STAFF!!!!!!!

This is the last time I visit this Rochdale Pets at Home. Every time I visit the store, I hear awful cries coming from the vet area. It’s either the way they treat/groom the animals or the animals are just pure frightened ? Squeals and loud shrieks from puppy’s and dogs are just to much to listen to while shopping there. I actually heard a member of staff shout at a little dog while i was there. I feel really concerned for these animals. These animals should not be crying that loud you hear it from the front door ? What level of training do these groomers have ? Because there is something not quite professional demonstrated here.
