Went to the shop the other day for a budgie and it was the best thing i’ve ever done. Going to go back this weekend to get her a friend. The man was very nice and told us everything we needed to know and gave us everything we need. The shop has everything you could ever think of and has an amazing fish collection. I go here a friend!
Disappointed with our experience at Pet Talk. We were sold a fish bowl with two Shubunkin goldfish, which we later learned is completely unsuitable due to lack of filtration and oxygen. The staff also failed to inform us about essential water treatments like dechlorinator, which resulted in poor water conditions. Unfortunately, one of our fish has already died due to the poor advice we received. Pet stores should be responsible for properly educating customers on fish care, especially for beginners. We trusted their guidance, but instead, we were left with an unhealthy setup and a heartbreaking loss. I hope they improve their staff training to prevent this from happening to other families. I would not recommend buying fish from here unless you already have the right knowledge about proper care. This is the fish bowl we were sold alongside the two shubunkin gold fish that we were assured would be happy in the tank. I have added a photo for proof.

The owner is well informed and helpful. The shop is well stocked for nearly all pets needing toys, treats and food and more toys and treats. They sell fish, budgies and small pets in good health and condition.
The main man is always a pleasure to deal with here. His friendly attitude and helpfulness is superb. Large selection of items (foods, harnesses, leads & medication to name a few) here for most animals. Parking is over the road in Iceland car park.

Wonderful little local shop that manages to provide an amazing range of products despite their small size. They are always friendly and go above and beyond for their customers. Having a charming place to go like this where people remember your face is so much more satisfying than buying online or in a big chain store. Keep it up guys.
I rang the shop and wanted a bit of advice about a quiet, reliable and good value filter for my fishtank. I'm not the most experienced fish tank owner so it was nice to get an experienced person on the other end of the phone who could give me a simple and honest answer and it gave me the confidence to go and get it. I've fitted it in the tank and I'm really happy with it. I'm not local to the shop but it's certainly worth the journey and it'll be my new go-to place.
