Without a doubt the worst GP surgery I’ve been registered with. The majority of the doctors are rude, don’t listen and are dismissive. It’s nigh on impossible to get an appointment most of the time. I’ve been sent letters saying I need to book an appointment, but then when I call to do so they tell me they don’t have any. I also feel they tell you to go to A&E just to get rid of you when you don’t actually need to be in A&E. The A&E staff seem annoyed that you’re there when it was the doctors at Stanley that told you you had to go. I’ve made the decision to move to another surgery even though Stanley is much nearer to where I live. I shouldn’t have to sit in A&E all day wasting a resource that is already struggling when my GP surgery could deal with the issue themselves, but can’t be bothered to. I genuinely believe Stanley health centre to be dangerous

What a great place, the staff are the best and deal with stuff very efficiently. We always get an appointment and never had any issues whatsoever. Top marks

Told by hospital to make an appointment at GP for bloods done in a week. GP reception insisted I have a form from hospital to have bloods done . Told her I have not a form and hospital Dr was sending letter to request one to GP . She said she'd check then cut me off . Why a receptionist with no medical experience should be arguing with me after my emergency admission to hospital that I need to get a blood form is beyond me. I'm amazed they have managed to get a 2* review score .

I've just had skin tags removed at Stanley health canter. Dr Qazi did the procedure. She was exceptional. Kind caring and she did a painless job. Thank you

Really impressed with the service today, rang at 8:30, connected within minutes and offered choice of in person or telephone appointment (chose telephone). Received call back at time expected, and was referred to a specialist. Expected to face more issues with getting a specialist appointment, so really happy.

The doctors have been great helping me but I’m putting such a low score due to the dangerous mistake the pharmacy made, given the wrong dose and type of tablet for my mental health. This had really bad effects

Absolutely useless. Receptionist s lie. Doctors incompetent. One of them told me I had “excess stomach acid”. A week later I was in an ambulance and the paramedics correctly diagnosed gall stones. This lot would have trouble diagnosis severed limb.

It did take a while to get through (34 calls)but once I got through got an appointment at a good time for me (4pm). Turned up at 3:50 but was seen at 4:15?? No one left the doctors before hand so must of been having a break as I waited 25mins bit shocking but okay The doctor I seen was a nice lady who welcomed me as I’m new to the area..can’t remember her name but it didn’t seem rushed and I got what I needed. They could do with been more on the ball and finding a different way of getting in as calling at 8am is a joke. can’t they book 2 days in front?? I bet at 8am that phone is crazy and stressful
