When you are told being a suicidal is your own fault and they leave you abused for years. Let them. Im out. Well done st marys. You have allowed me to kill myself and blame me. Try looking at those who hurt me

I was referred by my GP to assess on dementia. I was consulted by Dr. Jake Taylor. He is a real professional and with excellent care for patients. The first consultation lasted for more than 1 hour. He went through many questions for the assessment and concluded that my symptoms are consistent with a depression rather than dementia. He prescribed 6 weeks of antidepressant to me. My mood has been lifted after the medicine and I felt new life has came back to me. I am much in debt to Dr. Taylor's care and appropriate treatment on me. A big thank you to rebuild my life.

I have no issues whatsoever concerning the professionalism of the psychiatric staff. I do have an issue with the man working behind the reception however. I was told very curtly by him to "wait there" in reception as the health care professional approached to see me. Does he perhaps imagine the people who have appointments at StMarys House are so backward they need to be addressed as if they were entering prison?

Overall an awful experience, I have made complain and escalated to PALS and CQC. Mixed information given, no record shared with GP for changes in medication, rude responses and wrongly told told that the patient was discharged from their service when in fact it was not. The psychiatrist who increased changed the medication on the home visit was wonderful, knowledgeable and discussed the care plan. Was told about a care coordinator etc, only to be told 3 weeks down the line (when I chased the letter with the medication changes ) by Chris the reception staff that the patient is not a patient anymore , that no letter with any meds was sent to GP. When I questioned it , and mentioned that this can’t be right as we already have a letter with next appointment, his answer was “ doctors meet and discharge patients all the time” . After making a complained I received a phone call from them saying that the doctor is in holiday but another one will come and do the prescription. When I queried if the person is still a patient I was told yes ? Complained department emailed me second day to ask if the matter was solved ? Far from solved ! Still waiting for the letter to GP , even more the same staff who said that the patient was discharged , called today to say there is a prescription ready to pick up. When I asked for clarification I was abruptly told that the reason for his call is to tell me that the prescription was issued. When I asked why is he rude and queried why he told me that the patient was discharged ? He said he finds me rude ? 3 weeks down the line - GP also emailed them to request the new medication letter and we are nowhere near the end of it.

Literally got off the phone and she was like "WHAT ARE YOU WANTING" and then sent my call through and she just in polite, didn't tell me her name or what her job was when I asked (to make I rang the right place) And then the phone cut off Please SORT YOURSELF OUT
