   5 stars just isn’t enough!! I visited The Salon for the first time last month for a cut. I was so pleased with the outcome with Jen that I booked a balayage for the following month in with her. I had my colour done today and WOW I was quite nervous regarding the outcome as this was only my 2nd time having my hair coloured, but Jen and the girls are masters at work! They are all so incredibly friendly. Straight away upon arrival they are so attentive, not to mention their attention to detail is second to none! I’ve only been here twice and I wouldn’t hesitate having any of the ladies work on my hair! By far THE BEST salon I’ve come across. No doubt I will be a regular client and I have also introduced my mum here! Gem of a place. Clean, bright and just simply wonderful. Thankyou ladies

   Fantastic service as always. Jacqui & team are always really friendly and accommodating. Jacqui always cuts my hair the way I want/like it and takes the time to talk through any issues/concerns I might have - most recently hair shedding where she gave me lots of tips and info to help and was so reassuring when she was cutting/drying my hair. I came away not only really pleased with the finished result but also feeling a lot less stressed! Would 100% recommend.

   I had Tracy cut my hair today, I had a wet cut. It was my first visit. I have long hair and its thinning, Tracy suggested taking more off my layers than I'd planned, I put myself totally in her hands and having come home and dried it, I can honestly say this is the best cut I've had in years. Shes worked miracles and this is with me just rough drying it, hardly taken any time over blow drying it, my hair has just fallen into place and looks so much thicker to before the cut. I will definitely be returning to this salon, thank you for the very warm welcome, and for the amazing styled cut.

   This is a long overdue review but Jacqui and the team are brilliant. Jacqui is very experienced. She really listens to what her clients want and, from that starting point, makes suggestions about how to get there. This is different to my experience at some other salons where the hairdressers have some fixed ideas about the look you *should* want and go from there. As far as I'm concerned, The Salon is a local institution and I wouldn't go anywhere else!

   Unfortunately I cannot give a positive review of this place. No one welcomed me once inside, and took a good few minutes to even acknowledge (a quick hi I’ll be with you in a second would’ve been sufficient). I couldn’t let them know I was there as there were at least two people serving a woman at the cash desk and it was blocked. The lady who did my hair was lovely and I enjoyed talking to her, but the colour was totally botched. I only wanted my fringe sorted out (a strip of blonde at the front to be neatened), they even recommended it was so easy I could do it at home. I said my hair takes well to toner. They bleached it and applied the toner, first it went a bright blue. So they got rid of that colour and then it turned bright barney purple. After struggling to get rid of this purple (multiple washes, bleach bath etc) it was then a horrible brown colour, one I had not asked for at all. My scalp had sores on at the front and she could tell I was getting upset and was in pain at the constant washing. Another customer could see I was upset and commented on my blue fringe and another one of the hairdressers basically blamed my hair for taking quickly and said I had told them that (which I didn’t understand?). Although they caused me to have scabs on my scalp and give me a colour I didn’t want, they still charged me full price for the colour. I paid as I just wanted to get out there as quickly as I could and rang my mum in tears on the way home. The cut, however, was really nice. That’s what the extra star is for.

   Always a warm,friendly welcome. Jacqui is an excellent stylist and I'm always pleased with my hair. Good price too. In addition I've had my eyelashes tinted several times by Sophie, again always pleased with the result. Highly recommended!

   I’ve been through successive London salons and big chain hairdressers and never been that pleased with the results. Tried the Salon and I am really happy. Alice cut my hair and I loved the outcome, plus she gave useful styling advice. Really nice atmosphere. Highly recommend it.
