I’ve been going to the salon since it opened and have always had a great experience. Nice atmosphere and great stylists. Jason usually does my hair and he’s a great colourist and really quick! Always happy with my hair. Very happy with image London. Would recommend.
I paid £1,100 for keratin hair extensions. The work was poorly done and painful: extremely large, uneven bonds, some with multiple extensions attached together, causing scalp pain and discomfort. The result is nothing like what is shown on their website. Photos and videos attached. What made this experience worse was the unprofessional and discriminatory treatment. During the appointment my hair was handled roughly,and I was spoken to in a disrespectful and intimidating way. When I tried to resolve the issue and send evidence, communication was blocked and their official email does not work. I had no choice but to seek correction elsewhere. I strongly advise future clients to be cautious.
I have been coming to Image Streatham for years and the quality of service has consistently been outstanding - an incredibly warm and comfortable atmosphere. Jason is exceptional and the only person I trust with my hair. He is skilled, professional and creates beautiful results every time. Couldn’t recommend them enough! Thank you again!

I came to have my balayage touched up using a voucher friends had gifted me. Having been here once before for a cut I had no problems returning, however the statement of being “experts in balayage” is completely false. I have blocks of bright blonde in my t-section with absolutely no graduation from my root. I had to have my Flatmate take a photo from behind to see even more stripes of colour in the back. I’m glad I used a voucher, but the cost of this is still a lot of money considering the standard is way below par. I’m now having to visit another salon to have this fixed and from previous reviews, I now don’t even expect they’ll reply if I contact them about this. Do not go here for colour!!
I cannot write a review as I never got that far! I had booked a colour consultation on the phone previously and turned up about 15 minutes before the appointment. I was greeted by a lady who was busy doing a haircut so she called another hairdresser whose name I can’t remember but he was tall and blonde with a Welsh accent. He seemed most put out and snapped at me that he was expecting a client, I said as I was there and the other person wasn’t if he could do a quick consultation? His attitude was appalling and behaved as if he was doing me a favour. I showed him a picture of the colour I want to achieve to which he told me my hair was over processed and if he did it my hair would end up on the floor! I have since found another hairdresser who got the required colour on my first visit. I would never recommend this salon to anyone unless you want to spend your money to be insulted! This person is clueless about customer service
Lovely staff and very clean salon. Have been coming here for over a year for waxing. Akvile is professional, thorough and just lovely! I won’t go anywhere else now! Highly recommend
I absolutely love love love my hair! I took the plunge to have a fringe cut after many years of growing my hair and I’m so happy. I was recommended this salon by a family member and I am so happy with the service I received. Everyone is super friendly and I even got a glass of bubbles - a lovely pamper day. I will definitely be coming back - already booked by Christmas chop!
I recently visited Image London Hair Salon in Moyser Road to have a professional balayage hair colour treatment, wash, cut and blow dry. My regular hair salon had no availability, so I selected this alternative salon based on their 5-star customer reviews and claims that they were experts in balayage, as stated on their website. On arrival my assigned hairdresser consulted with me on the hair colour and haircut style. I showed him a picture and was confident that he had understood what I was looking for, which was simply a tidy up and redefining of my existing layers. Unfortunately, once my assigned hairdresser had completed the colour treatment, he became unavailable to cut my hair due to being busy with other clients. I was left sitting for an hour and was told that another hairdresser ‘Rafael’ would cut my hair. I showed the same picture to Rafael and explained that my layers needed tidying/redefining. It was difficult to see how the cut was going whilst my hair was wet. Rafael said he’d check the cut when the hair was dry, but he did not, and I didn’t think it was necessary to ask as it was a straightforward procedure and I trusted that he was a skilled professional. When my hair was being dried, he seemed to be struggling. I noted that my hair looked dull and was slightly frizzing. I know my hair responds well to a higher heat-setting and I advised him of this on two occasions, but he told me to trust him, then proceeded to place Velcro rollers in the ends of my hair to curl it up. It was apparent that I was not happy, but I didn’t want to make a fuss. When I was shown my hair in the mirror, I was only able to see the colour and not the cut detail as my hair was curled and after being in the salon for 5 hours I just needed to leave. I had been struggling with my hair due to its dryness from the colour, but mostly it appeared to be all different lengths. Due to working away the first opportunity I had to properly review my hair was the following Saturday when my husband took photos from behind – then I discovered the extent of the damage! I contacted the salon via email to complain and provided them with photos, which I also share here. I requested a refund of the full £210 I paid. A few days later I received an email from the salon owner ‘Dara’ saying that they do not give refunds, but they could re-do my hair. Due to the absolute mess they had already made and my distress; I did not feel able to subject myself to their treatment again. As a reasonable alternative, I requested a partial refund of £75 to at least enable me to visit my regular hairdresser in an attempt to fix the mess that had been inflicted. Under the circumstances I'd hoped they would see reason, but I have not received another response to date. I had honestly felt I was visiting a professional salon (as it presents through the website and all the 5 star reviews). I at least expected to receive a haircut that looked like I had visited a hairdresser and not like a kid had hacked at it. Not only was I side-lined for other customers, but the hairdresser has made an unbelievable mess and the salon owner has failed to acknowledge the state of it, only saying they were sorry I was unhappy with my hair and service received. I think the photos clearly demonstrate that it is not just a case of me not liking my hair. I would never recommend this salon to anyone. I have always found reviews to be helpful when choosing any new place or service, but all the 5-star reviews on their website are deceiving and they clearly have a choice over what’s published and what’s not. I sincerely hope that lots of people get to read this review and see the photos so that they can avoid booking a hair appointment at Image London at all costs, especially if it’s your first time!
