Laura is an excellent hairdresser because she asks what you would like done and then she does exactly that. Also, this salon has a very nice, friendly atmosphere and great coffee.
I cannot recommend Joshua Altback Hair Salon highly enough. For the first time in many years, I had Brazilian straightening at the salon, and Laura’s work was exceptional. I have had this treatment at many of London’s leading salons over the past 10–15 years and have experienced it at least two dozen times. Without hesitation, this was the best result I have ever had and truly worth every penny. I would not consider going anywhere else for this treatment. The salon itself is warm, welcoming, and impeccably run by Zeeba, who gives thoughtful and attentive care to every client. It is a truly special salon, led by the lovely Josh and supported by a highly talented, professional, and genuinely caring team. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
I got my hair cut with Joshua last week, taking it from over the shoulder length curly hair to a short, cropped curly style. Joshua really took the time to cut it properly, giving suggestions on how to shape it on the side and over my ear which I appreciated. In all honesty it’s probably the best haircut I’ve had and I got so many compliments on the new style, which is a lovely confidence boost. Thanks Joshua!
The front desk receptionist Ziba is so warm, welcoming & has a great memory!She’s so considerate, she offered to grab me lunch from a nearby shop if I wanted to order as I would be sitting for a while during lunch time ❤️Very conversational and kind woman. The experience with Joshua performing my Crown Keratin straightening treatment was so relaxing! He has a soft tone of voice, carries the perfect level/pace of conversation, and was so professional/tactful in his approach to suggestions for my hair. It’s been a while since finding my hair salon “home” since moving to London two years ago, but think I’ve found it ! The treatment worked beautifully on my bleach highlighted hair and I couldn’t be happier with its smoothing results (while still giving me some volume).

Every time I visit London I use the opportunity to have a haircut and blow dry with Joshua. He is fantastic!!! I have very fine hair and he always manages to make it look great! Even when I leave it on its own, the cut is so good that the hair looks just fine !! It’s wash and go as Zeba-the soul of the front desk-commented. The staff is very friendly and efficient too!
