Wife and daughter attended today 22.12.25, country is saying an issue with flu, so they wore masks, her mums husband is dying from cancer and receiving treatment. Told what are you wearing masks for!! maybe on wards but don’t need in clinic, that’s the nurses attitude. The doctor asked are ‘are you mum’ when said yes Dr says oh! Can’t tell as in mask. Medical professionals attitude to masks was as if wife and daughter were morons. So when NHS moans they are struggling, maybe look at themselves as they did not care about health or people today. These are people we once stood for through Covid. Never again!!!! Disgusting

Roshea Tierney is, a forty-seven-year-old mother of three. In February of this year Roshea suffered a catastrophic stroke which left her paralysed and blind in one eye. Since then, her life — and ours — has been a continuous fight for dignity, care, and survival. On 7 December, Roshea attended an appointment at Sheffield Northern General Hospital scheduled for 10:00 a.m. The referral had been made by Dr Txxxx in Lincoln. Upon arrival, however, hospital staff stated they had no record or knowledge of her referral. Despite being in severe post-stroke pain, Roshea was left sitting in a waiting area until approximately 7:30 p.m., before finally being given a bed. She subsequently underwent major surgery and was admitted to Intensive Care. Following her transfer to a ward, Professor Sxxxx made it explicitly clear that Roshea must be sat out in a chair daily to prevent blood clots and that she required physiotherapy input. We were advised that she would be discharged home the following Wednesday. On the morning of that Wednesday, at 8:00 a.m., Roshea’s cannulas for pain relief were removed. She then waited — in pain, immobile, and untreated — for hospital transport. The ambulance did not arrive until 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, over twenty-four hours later. At no point during this period was Roshea sat out in a chair. Roshea arrived back at Lincoln Hospital at approximately 3:15 p.m. and was placed in Neustad Welland Ward, Side Room xx I personally handed her medical notes, contained in a white A4 envelope, to a nurse at the nursing station. I explained clearly that Roshea had been instructed nearly eight days earlier that sitting out was essential to prevent potentially fatal blood clots and that this needed to be addressed urgently. I was ignored. At approximately 5:30–6:00 a.m. today, a doctor attended Roshea and stated he did not know why she had been admitted to Lincoln Hospital. At around 3:00 p.m., a second doctor attended and made the same admission: he also had no idea why Roshea was there. This evening, I again raised serious concerns with nursing staff, stressing that Roshea must be sat out immediately and urgently needs to be seen by a physiotherapist. I was told they could not assist because they did not know the reason for her admission. One nurse offered to call the doctor who had already written in Roshea’s notes that he did not know why she was there. I explained — calmly but firmly — that a doctor who has documented his own uncertainty is unlikely to provide answers. I suggested, instead, that someone exercise basic clinical responsibility and contact Sheffield Northern General Hospital to establish why Roshea was transferred in the first place. Roshea has now developed an infection. She has previously suffered sepsis and E. coli. I am deeply concerned that this prolonged confusion, inaction, and failure to follow clear medical instructions may place her at serious risk. Seriously how can a very sick person spend two days in a hospital and nobody knows why she is there, its absolutely sickening. Shame on you

Great, communicative staff that explained everything perfectly. Everyone was super nice, waiting times weren’t bad at all. The doctors and nurses were amazing and did a great job.

I’m honestly heartbroken and deeply frustrated by the service I received at Lincoln Teaching Hospital. What should have been a place of care and compassion turned into one of the most stressful and exhausting experiences I’ve ever had. The waiting times were absolutely unacceptable — hours upon hours with no proper updates, no reassurance, and barely any communication. Sitting there, feeling unwell and anxious, watching time drag on while no one seemed to care — it was incredibly disheartening. The staff themselves seemed kind but completely overwhelmed, rushing from one patient to another without the support they clearly need. It was painful to see how disorganized and uncoordinated everything felt. For a major teaching hospital, I expected far better standards and at least some empathy for the people waiting in distress. By the time I was finally seen, I was beyond exhausted and emotionally drained. No one should have to go through that kind of ordeal just to receive basic medical attention. This experience left me feeling ignored, helpless, and deeply disappointed. I truly hope the hospital’s management takes a hard look at what’s happening here — patients deserve to be treated with dignity, communication, and compassion.

Shame that the departments don't answer the phone or get back to you when promised and cutting the call of many times, bad enough having consultants changed constantly like changing underwear on a regular basis without informing the patient. I'm awaiting biopsy results yet again nothing,bad enough last year they didn't even inform me of any results and kept canceling appointments and losing paperwork. I'm nervous as it is without Dr's and other people making worse, it shouldn't be like this not when it results in cancer or the thought of cancer.

Really great service, although busy my wife was looked after throughout. Was there for a while however this was to be expected given levels of people there. Staff were great and so caring. Could not rate these guys enough. They work tirelessly and provide such a high level of care. True heroes.

I had a hysterectomy a few months ago had a wonderful experience and being told by GP it could be cancer was scanned within 3 days and had further appointments quickly. Then the op the treatment I received at Branston ward and other wards I attended was excellent, the hospital was clean and the staff caring and friendly. It was a horrible time but I'm so grateful for the excellent work they all do. (Even the food was good)

The receptionist staff were so rude when assisting a family member, having to wait 3/4 hours to be told what’s happening. The way staff spoke to other over listening was disgusting. There should of been more and better staff on. That actually like there job!!
