I’ve just came from the emergency and accident spend 5 hours waiting and not even one of the nurse or doctor came to check the cut all they told me it’s deep and it needs stitches… so many staff and can’t do they’re jobs properly waiting time was going up every 1 hour when we went in it was 2 to 3 hours waiting time after few minutes it changed to 6 hours and 30 minutes … it’s not that hard to check on patients .. and do what they came for …. Never ever visiting again

I was bluelighted here by ambulance in October 2024 with a heart rate of 160bpm. I was petrified but the staff were brilliant with me. I wasn’t kept waiting to get treated. Only thing I was kept waiting for was a bed on AMU. It was 4am the next morning I was transferred to there. The ladies who bring you drinks were excellent and one lady was making us laugh. I was then transferred to ward A1 that afternoon at about 4pm where I stayed until my discharge 4 days later. The staff on there were very caring and helpful. They really are angels and the patient transport who took me home bonded with me because I was missing my cat and dog. They helped me into my house and they said awww they sure have missed you because of how my darling pets greeted me. Thank you to all who looked after me on Wednesday 16 until Monday 21 October 2024

Came at 9.30pm with mum with broken rib(s) and pain with breathing, hardly able to move. We were seen to within half hour but then referred for xray - sat waiting half hour only to be told doctor hasn’t sent a referral I had to talk to reception and she had to remind the doctor to request an X-ray.. Waited another 15 minutes before getting an X-ray (no other patients waiting - we were the only ones! Waste of time) After that came and sat for 5 hours in waiting area. Still haven’t seen a doctor until now. 3.27am Now! We have asked 3 times..only to be told to wait… Broken ribs, can’t move or breath properly, sit on a chair for 5 hours? How about offering some pain killers? Vending machines empty and not accepting card as machine broken.. I don’t have change so can’t buy anything! Broken chairs, dirty floor..! The nurses are sat talking and laughing in the consulting rooms taking there time to assess patients just coming in.. why can’t they be seen to straight away? Why do you have to make everyone wait for so long? Can’t see any sense of urgency in the team.. such slow paced service. Lack of care compassion and urgency in this department.. I just think what a normal ward will look like? Iv seen atleast 4 people just pick up bags, ask for cannulas etc to be removed and go home as no one has bothered updating them with any test results or treatment! I’ll be posting again after seeing the doctors. Even the screen is lying saying the wait is 2.5 hours!

terrible place. I've been sitting here for three hours with chest pain, during which time the doctor didn't call a single patient.

The waiting time…….. 7 hours to be seen by a doctor. Imagine sitting with your kid to be seen by a doctor in a room with other 20 sick kids and parents. You go there to be treated and leave sicker than you come in. Why do we pay for NHS??

This place doesn't deserve to be called a hospital. They made me wait 7 and a half hours to see a doctor, even though I went to A&E in agony with sharp chest pains and have a very complex medical background. After being there that length of time they only decided to take blood, which they couldn't get even after four people trying. I ended up having a panic attack, and they talked down to me like a little child. When they sent me for a xray, they made me strip of my top half and put a gown on, but they didn't let me go to a cubicle to get changed they made undress in the xray room while the staff was also in the room. Dignity?! Most staff was nice and friendly but the doctors was rude and unsympathetic. I ended up walking out and going to Sheffield which is a much better hospital. I was sat all day with no pain medication, no food or water. The vending machines in A&E wasn't working, well one was but it was just eating peoples money and not giving out the product. I was alone so I couldn't get a drink from anywhere else. Bad days when someone with kidney failure can't even get a drink!

Been here a few times and everytime I have ive felt very welcome and looked after The staff as a whole are very polite and friendly and always happy to help For sating they are overworked and underpaid its great to still have the drive to be positive The hospital is clean and feels sade with loads of covid measures in place and sanitizer throughout Lots of shops and a Costa on site is nice Wheelchair accessible throughout and lifts in place The car park is decent could always be bigger but I prefer to be dropped off and avoid parking at hospitals if I can anyway. A and e seems to be overcrowded alot which can be common for hospitals and i feel as though not everyone needs to be there half the time and a and e needs to change as a whole or just be gotten rid of out of hospitals, appointments only I think would be better to stop people time wasting exc. Overall a lovely hospital after a few visits and does not deserve 2 stars!
