   I went to this salon for the first and last time some months ago so this review is overdue. After seeing all the good reviews I thought it should be fine. Especially since the style I wanted was from one of the good reviews. They heat damaged my hair. Bad. I went in to get my hair straightened then curled. I was expecting them to use curling rods or something but they stuck to using the straightener to curl my hair which would have been fine but…before they started blow drying my hair they weren’t even going to use heat protectant…I had to literally ask her to use it and even then I think she didn’t use enough. Maybe one spray. The worst part was when they got to my bangs. I wanted the bang to be curled in, which is something I can do easily at home (I usually straighten my hair at home and I am NOT prone to heat damage). Two stylists came just to curl my bangs and they passed through it so much and even added bloody gel! Then passed through it with that. At the time I didn’t realise it was gel they added and that she clearly didn’t put heat protectant in the front or top part of my hair and now my curly hair has been straight in the front and mid portion ever since going to this salon. It’s ruined my self esteem and appearance. Avoid this salon if you want your hair straightened because any professional should know to use heat protectant and not straighten over gel. Not to mention the multiple passes. A child pretending to be a stylist played in my hair. Get a licence or something. Take lessons. Or stick to braiding only. Terrible.

   If I could give zero stars I would! I took my daughter here and specifically asked the “braider” to make sure she doesn’t pull my daughter’s edges, she ignored me and the result has been a chunk of her edges been pulled right out from the roots. I got in touch with them and they read and ignored my message until I sent another one shaming them, I was then told the manager would be contacting me and surprise surprise I never heard from her. I had to reach out again and they tried to tell me the braider was gentle, not sure how they think that when my child had a chunk missing from her hair. Absolutely disgusting service and I now won’t even be buying hair products from them. There’s been no apology and I was told to message the manager who has also ignored me!

   From booking an appointment for 2 and booking day before to arriving and completing everything I couldn’t be happier. Everyone here was welcoming, helpful, polite, store is very clean and provides everything you need in store for your appointment and more. Super happy with the result of my hair too. My hairdresser Kokob was suggesting that the hairstyle might not work well with my hairline( I asked as insecure), she freestyled it and I couldn’t be happier. I will always ask for this and be back here from now on !!! Thank you so much :)

   Black owned Afro hair supplies and salon. I was really happy to find this store not to far from me. Normally the afro hair supplies stores are owned by asians which I find quite bizarre as afro hair is a niche market! The store is not too large but has everything you need. The staff were friendly and helpful too! There is a large selection of hair from braiding and the prices competetive. So happy I found this store. Will update when I have my daughter's hair braided here

   First time getting extensions, really good quality, but very expensive. I guess it was worth it as it was for my wedding and they do last a very long time. Staff were helpful with picking the right one for me!
