   Had a brilliant experience today at Remedy! Booked very last minute, and was accommodated well, even after I running late due to traffic. Elsie did an amazing job with my nails, and was great to chat with which put me in a really great, relaxed mood. Great value for money, and good parking outside. Will definitely be back!

   I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel it’s important to share this experience — not just because of the poor result, but because of how I was treated afterward. I had a balayage appointment where I clearly asked for something soft, natural, low-maintenance, and not streaky. What I received was extremely blonde, uneven, and harsh — with one side visibly lighter than the other and no soft blend at all. It looked nothing like the reference photo I provided or what was discussed in the consultation. The following day, I went for a consultation at another salon to assess the condition of my hair, as I was realising it felt damaged and brittle. I hadn’t yet had anything fixed at that point. I then emailed Remedy with a calm, detailed explanation of the issues, along with photos. I waited all day for a response. I followed up again the next morning and again later on that same day. Not even having received an acknowledgement that my email had been received. Only after my second follow-up, did I finally receive a reply — after I had attended a last-minute repair appointment. Which I booked in a panic having heard nothing from Remedy and having to fly in 2 days with not idea when next I would have the chance to fix my hair. Their response refused any refund, claiming I hadn’t given them a chance to see or fix the issue — despite the fact that I reached out promptly, gave them nearly a full day and a half to respond, and even offered to stop by. I had no choice but to move forward with correction due to an upcoming trip and the state of my hair. Even an acknowledgement or basic reply could have made a difference — instead, I was met with silence. Worse still, the salon tried to twisting it back on me, saying I had already mentioned “having it fixed” in my initial email — when I had clearly said I’d only had a consultation at that point. When I called to try to resolve things, I was told that if I was going to be upset, I should “just contact my bank.” I have now logged a chargeback. This entire experience has felt incredibly dismissive and upsetting. I’ve been left with damaged hair, emotional stress, and the financial burden of fixing a service that should never have gone so wrong. I understand that mistakes happen — but how a business handles those mistakes speaks volumes. I would not recommend this salon based on the results but more so due to how they respond when something goes wrong.

   I’ve had my nails done three times now and have been very impressed every time. They take very good care and do a thorough job. They’re dog friendly which is always amazing! The atmosphere is friendly and calm. The price is reasonable too. Would 100% recommend.

   They’re so lovely here. Really nice and helpful staff. Gave me great advice on maintaining my hairstyle and recommended some lovely products. I had my hair cut and coloured which was a long job but it was done very well and I love it. Pricing is reasonable. Will be back
