Our visit to Woodcroft in Handforth with our cocker spaniel Buddy was amazing Buddy was calm and received with affection and support from all the staff. The vet was amazing she knew exactly what was going on with Buddy and offered the best solution and treatment for him.
We took our cat Freddy for his annual booster and health check. As usual all the staff were friendly and helpful. Freddy was relaxed, enjoyed his dreamies and hardly noticed the examination or injection.
Tom our vet today was lovely! He was very kind and professional with our dog Jeeves and very sweetly let the kids listen to his heart beat!
Regular reminders regarding appointments and treatments are extremely helpful. My dog is nervous but the vets are very accommodating. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Recently I had to take my dog to the vets , I have 2 dogs and haven’t been to vets for a while , sadly my dog who I took to the vets , due to age didn’t see past that day . But the staff on the day , nurse , vet went above and beyond that day . And recently received a card from the vets and the nurse took paw prints nose print and little fur in a jar . But the staff have been lovely, especially since never been in this position before . I took the other dog to the vets for a check up and again so understanding and caring .
Woodcroft Vets is a brilliant practice. All the staff are friendly and professional. There are separate cat and dog waiting areas which are always clean. I almost always see the same vet, Gareth Whitby, who is gentle and caring with my cat. He always explains everything very carefully and in the detail I expect. I would recommend this vets to anybody.

Woodcroft Vets in Handforth have been amazing since day one for our Romanian rescue. They offered us regular social visits (at no additional cost to the yearly payment) so he could get used to the environment and the staff on hand, and seeing him develop relationships has really helped him settle. The times we have had to call for assistance, the staff have been knowledgeable and helped us where required. A particular mention to Alex, who has been unbelievable in her support, care, advice and assistance throughout the first year of Carlo’s time with Woodcroft. If it wasn’t for her guidance, we would have had much more difficulty with finding the right fit for Carlo. Lastly, the pricing for the vets is very good, especially if you take out the yearly plan, which has a lot of essentials that individually would have been more costly. We can’t recommend them enough, and thanks as always for your help and support!
Amazing vets. Best in the area I would argue. We took our dog (willow) for her jabs and worming. Got invited to all the puppy classes (which are free) and got to meet lots of new people. Nurses are super friendly and attentive here. The vets are knowledgeable and price wise I would say they are very competitive for the money. Keep up the good work guys and girls!
