   Outstanding service from nurse Emma Driver on 24th November. Evening appointment for review including blood test. They don't normally do blood tests pm as courier has left but Emma took my blood and dropped it at Crystal peaks medical centre who have a nightly courier service, saving me having to book another appointment for the blood test. Thank you so much Emma.

   We recently moved to the area and changed our GP practice. Have had a couple appointments at Sothall Medical Centre already, and the centre has been tidy and clean every time i visited, all staff from receiptionists to the doctors and nurses have been professional with good manners. They have shown good understanding of my needs and genuinely cared what they do. Can't fault the services, and my referral has also been done smoothly and quickly. I have been informed throughout the processes via their online system and NHS app.

   Absolutely disgusted with the level of care this place has. Ive had severe migraines, neck pains and a constant throbbing sensation. Ive been told its cervical instability to get referred to physiotherapy to then be told I need to meditate. To then not get referred for an mri I desperately need because I didn't tick enough boxes. To be told today I need to start a bloody diary for the problem. Come on does the amount of appointments with me stating the exact same issues not count any more. Any way as the problems been going on for 8 months im now gonna go to a and e and go from there. Also they misdiagnosed me and left me with pneumonia, and told me my pile problem was completely normal, I had a full prolapse so not normal in the slightest. And as of today im going to be looking for a new gp. This kind of service im 2025 if absolutely unacceptable

   Congratulations Emma, part of a fantastic team at Sothall. A year ago before my wife and I moved home, we used your surgery many times and you were faultless. Some years ago one evening for a routine appointment, you saved my life after I couldn't be admitted to hospital and your staff were so attentive and caring. You deserve more stars but you I will always remember you all, as my wife will too.

   I have been seeing the GPs for other a year re severe foot issue and gait. I have been passed about from hospital departments, wthout any outcome. I have had certain tests done without anyone explaining the results. Gps are playing lip service and not been give any treatnent or pain injections. The Gps have openly told me to go private as the NHS is shot. I thought that medical people were there to help people and stop suffering, this is not the case.

   'You are.. caller number 14 in the queue....' 45 minutes later, you can actually hear the phone been picked up and put down. It takes several attempts to even get an appointment. When you eventually do, and your appointment is the 1st one of the day, you don't expect the surgery to be running almost an hour behind. They wonder why people are so agitated. Appalling.

   Been trying for 2 days to get through even at 8.30 when the lines open and then all day. The message I get is that the lines are at full capacity and call back. Even if you dont get this message and lucky to get through you are at least 18 in the queue and then the appts are gone and spend around 40 mins waiting. Its been like this for aling ling time.

   I often read and hear misleading reactions about Sothall GP. I never waited more than 10 min on the phone, nither when there, which is very important to me. All the staff there are so welcoming and friendly including Julie on the phone when she makes a simple comment to cheer your day when you think the wrold is falling apart. Great service from the whole crew and professional Doctors and nurses.

   Positives: The doctors there are thorough and broadly knowledgeable. Negatives: Trying to get through to make an appointment takes military planning and even then is not always a successful mission. Getting results is a lucky dip of whether they contact you or not with them. I usually use my private medical insurance (relieves the burden on the clinic) but often need a referral letter. To get the letter is never straightforward. One senior member of staff who I’ll not embarrass (but has the initials SD) had my young daughter in tears and when I saw her (SD) the other day on a separate matter started off by being very rude to me before I politely asked her to reflect on her manner. She was fine afterwards.

   Tried ringing at 8.30 a.m for 4 days. In queue for 45+ minutes all appointments gone. Went in person, told to ring, tried but lines all busy told to ring back later or go to Walk in Centre. Who wants to do that when they feel very poorly. Don't understand why G.p's not seeing patients now.
