   Always found this surgery to be good . If your problem is urgent , the act on it . Don’t expect instant appointments if your problem isn’t urgent . Too many people waste Doctors time and should think whether a chemist can give advice instead of using Doctors valuable time up.

   Extremely disappointing and dismissive care. Dr. Nyuk Jia Stephanie Chia left me feeling judged, unheard, and unsupported during two recent consultations about my autistic son’s health. Her tone was patronising, passive-aggressive, and cold, and she showed no empathy despite the complex medical and developmental needs of my child. When I requested a referral and followed up on a Right to Choose ADHD pathway, I was made to feel clueless and bothersome — even though I followed the correct procedure. As a mother of children with high needs, I deserve respect, not condescension. Very poor patient experience.

   I had one, not so pleasant experience in the past . Recently I had a horrific experience here. I had to walk out of an appointment. There’s too much detail and personal information to write it here. I felt bullied/ judged/ worthless/ shocked and upset. I asked to make a complaint. So far I have received a message which asks you for ratings and feedback. If I do return to this practice I will be accompanied by someone, the trust is gone. I will never leave myself open to that treatment again. UPDATE: I have attempted to make a complaint 3 times, once by myself in person(at the time of incident) once on the phone and then me and my partner both asked in person (as stated above I won’t attend alone in fear) all 3 times I have been promised a phone call, I’ve received no call.

   When called the advertised practice number i was informed via the answer machine that the practice was closed. Then went through the nightmare of using NHS online which met with negative results. Ended up calling 111 who after 15 mins in a call called the practice to find out that they close for lunch! Would help if they actually informed the general public that they carry out this practice.

   Dear Handsworth. Your online computer system is down again. I am 19th in the queue on the phone. You have just changed your previous online appointment request service from access anytime to now only being able to put a request in, in a small 2 hour window in the morning. Why? I now have to take a day off to simly try to get an appoint which i am still not garenteed. Your patient access is absolutely shocking. I genuinely worry for your vulnerable patients. If a realitively young, computer literate, fellow healthcare professional struggles how are less able bodied people managing. This is such a shame! Your staff are always so good once you can get passed your guarded gates :(

   Worst doctors ive ever been a part of called over 200 times just to continuously get a busy line then when you do get through you get told no appointments their utterly useless

   Left the practice moving my self and my children despite being registered since I was a baby. Can never get appointments for children when they are ill. Interactions on the phone are always difficult feel like certain receptionists (not all) are purposely obstructive. Don't recommend feel ike there is no case by case care or individual advice for your situation just "call tommorow at 8 for an appointment"

   3 minutes we was late for second baby vaccination and they cancelled our appointment and re-book two weeks later and then two days before appointment they cancelled it again!!!

   I value this GP, it can be difficult to get through on the phone but that is the same everywhere. The demand for the service is higher than what most practices can manage. You can see they are actively trying to make the service more accessible with there online booking service which I have used successfully a few times for none urgent appointments. The reception team are always pleasant and will give you clear guidance in what to expect. Dr Otten in particular has been a life saver for me, literally in some cases. She is caring, considerate and really takes the time to acknowledge and work through issues. It's the first GP I've come across in a long time who shows compassion. The nurse practitioner is also helpful and friendly. I don't feel they get enough credit for the tiring work they do! The only way I feel they could improve would be to make the service more accessible for deaf clients as a phone consultation really isn't suitable for these clients.
