Attended for the first time after reading good reviews, I went for a bouncy blow dry for a wedding and was thoroughly disappointed. Have had many before with the same length hair and it’s always been dressed beautifully bouncy. The blow dry I had at Emma X was flat and I was told it’s because my hairs all one length and too heavy, I had to go home time poor and wash and re do my hair again which was 100% better. The stylist knew I was disappointed and still took the money and the tip. I would never go there again £33 wasted.
Just back from having my daughter's hair cut and it was a great experience. They were so friendly and managed to tame Edith's curly locks, shaping it to make her look and feel more grown up. I cannot recommend enough, such a warm welcome and a lovely haircut.

Worth every penny! They do wonderful jobs at trimming, dyeing and washing, while having bubbly personalities! I've been a few times and I'd happily go again!
Had my hair cut yesterday there for the first time. Got home and one side was fine but the other side did not match at all. Went back and a manager tried to sort it out, but not much she could do, as the layers were cut much shorter on one side by the other person. I was told it was because of where I have my hair parted? Which made no sense. I have never had a haircut before that was uneven. Really unhappy. I am going to have to pay someone else to cut it much shorter to correct it. I definitely do not recommend this hairdressers.
Yesterday was my first visit to Emma X hairdressers. On my arrival I was greeted by Stylist Angela with a handshake and an introduction. I was offered a drink while Angela discussed aspects of my hair colour and style and offered valuable advice. I had some highlights followed by an excellent haircut. I would recommend Angela and will definitely go there again Evelyn S
Lovely, clean and friendly salon with staff who have the time and knowledge to help, whether you want a big change (like my recent Brazilian blow dry) or just a trim. Great cuts and colours every time from Emma, the lovely owner. The new nail bar has been great, a welcome addition to the salon. Nessa is knowledgeable, skilled and easy going. Overall, highly recommended!
After a disastrous haircut by another so called 'hairdresser', Emma was able to give me excellent advice and restyle and save my confidence. She is kind and cares about her clients and listens to what you want. She will give you honest advice. Salon great atmosphere, friendly and welcoming.....coffee good too. Highly recommended.
