I am delighted to have found Matt who is an expert with curly hair. There are good haircuts, and then there are excellent haircuts and the latter is what I know I am getting from Matt. The salon itself is clean and welcoming with a relaxing vibe, plus LGBTQ friendly. Matt is also a really nice guy who makes sure you're comfortable, and has provided me with education on how best to look after my curls which is not something generic high street salons have ever done in my experience. If you've got curls, then you need Tylah in your life. She REALLY knows how to cut AND style naturally curly hair. In fact, she is the first hairdresser in my life who I don't go to, then immediately rush home and restyle my hair. I have been coming to the Garden Room for about four years now for cuts and highlights. Tylah is so incredibly talented with colour and never fails to achieve a beautiful blonde, cut and blow-dried to perfection. After a recent at-home dye fiasco (why do we do it?!) Tylah spent 4.5 hours redoing my botch job without even a hint of ‘I-told-you-so’! I came away from the appointment looking and feeling better than I have in a long time. I developed a patch of alopecia and wanted my hair chopped off to make the hair fall I experienced less stressful. I googled and contacted a host of businesses and opted for the one that I felt was most compassionate towards my issue. The team were BRILLIANT, genuinely BRILLIANT, I hadn't really left my house or brushed my hair in weeks because I felt really rubbish. The haircut was great, and it was just such a nice experience both in terms of getting a haircut but also because I got some great advice on how to cover my bald patch, how to deal with hair-loss, practical tips, vitamin recommendations. I found it more helpful than the dermatologist I had to see - if you're experiencing alopecia, I highly recommend it.
