I have been seeing Sarah for postpartum recovery since I was around 9 weeks PP. I had an emergency c-section so I was concerned about scar healing, recovery and returning to exercise. I am an aerial fitness instructor so core strength is of great importance to me. Sarah was really knowledgeable and provided me with a tailored training plan which was completely personalised. She even went out of her way to understand my sport and tailor my training accordingly. Every session she checked my scar healing and gave me additional techniques to loosen the fascia underneath the scar so that my skin regains its elasticity and long term recovery. I met with Sarah several times over a period of four months on her 'mum to run' plan and always felt like I came away with more confidence and techniques to return to high level activity in a progressive way. She was also great with my daughter who attended every session in her car seat - we just tailored the session to meet her needs as well as my own (fussiness and feeding). I would recommend Sarah for any PP recovery, it is an investment in yourself. I had a great experience and would return anytime I need support both PP and otherwise.

Sarah was fantastic..... knowledgable, supportive and understanding. I visited her after a hysterectomy, concerned about recovering my fitness and greater strength in my pelvic floor. She was really friendly and instantly made me feel comfortable. She has helped me restore my confidence to exercise again and return to the gym. She also offered some advice on my long term back problems. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending her.

I was really struggling with pelvic pain which I was told by a gynacologist was adhesions. The initial assessment with Sarah highlighted a need to strengthen up in the pelvic area. I took on the exercises that Sarah advised and I could not believe how quickly my pain disappeared. Further work over 4 separate appointments with Sarah got me to a position where I can now manage my condition. Sarah genuinely 'heard' me and I really looked forward to our sessions. Non judgemental and understanding. She is someone I would definitely recommend.

I first visited Sarah 3 months ago for guidance on pelvic floor exercises. Whilst being very empathetic and knowledgable she also offers solutions which may help. I have since had another appointment and am very happy with how things are. She explains everything in a clear way and I think she is exceptional and would not hesitate to contact her again.

I visited Sarah due to upper back pain at the beginning of my third trimester in pregnancy. The response to my email query was quick & an appointment was booked within a couple of weeks that suited me. Sarah listened to what I was struggling with and took the time to get to know me and what was normal for me! Over the sessions, I was given an achievable exercise plan which was adapted week on week depending on how things were going! We recapped at the start of each session and discussed any changes/improvements! I really enjoyed my sessions with Sarah and came out feeling so much better mentally and physically! Sarah is super knowledgable and really cares! I would 100% recommend Baslow Physiotherapy!

I would highly recommend Sarah. Her knowledge of women's health and the postnatal recovery is fantastic. I went from pain every day to pain free in three sessions. Sarah is a great listener and understands the other pressures of life, by giving exercises that fit in throughout the day and don't need lots of equipment. Her professional manner made me feel immediately at ease and her scar tissue work was very comfortable. Thanks Sarah, I'll definitely be back if I ever need more physio.

My wife bought me the Mummy MOT after I suffered a birth injury while having our son. I have never been so scared in my life, I thought I wouldn’t be able to do anything active ever again. Before having our son I used to weightlift, cycle, run and snowboard. After giving birth I was told that I couldn’t lift anything heavier than 5lb again, no squats and not to lift anything above my head. I’m sure you’ll all agree - that’s ridiculous. I was misdiagnosed by my doctor, in pain and pretty depressed. You have to wait 6 weeks to have the Mummy MOT but I got so upset one day that my wife asked Sarah if she would speak to me on the phone before my actual appointment, she was so nice and reassuring. The Mummy MOT was amazing, so much more in depth than anything you get from your 6 week check at the doctors. Sarah diagnosed me with a mild/moderate pelvic organ prolapse. She also checked my episiotomy scar and scored my pelvic floor. It was pretty scary to hear confirmation of what I had already self diagnosed (keep off mumsnet people), but at least now I had someone with me who knew what to do and gave me a plan. I've been seeing Sarah every 4, 6 or 8 weeks since then and at 9 months postpartum I have just been discharged. I have worked hard on the exercises in between our sessions and am pleased to say I am almost completely symptom free. My prolapse has reduced almost fully, I have no pain in my scar and my pelvic floor score has improved greatly. I am back in the gym, climbing, and cycling. Haven’t tried running yet but will give it a go later in the year I think. I can’t express how grateful I am to my wife for booking this for me, everyone who has a baby should get this automatically. I can’t recommend Baslow Physiotherapy highly enough, Sarah is knowledgeable and friendly and although parts of the appointment could be awkward she always made me feel at ease. Thank you!

I had problems with adhesion from scar tissue on my stomach. Sarah, through tissue massage and guiding me through specific exercises managed to sort this for me, and I will be forever grateful. She is an amazing woman... very professional and makes you feel at ease right from the start. The treatment room also shows the high level of professionalism that she and her husband have. This was a specialised area of physiotherapy and she did it with absolute confidence and compassion. She's a very special, and personable woman. Thank you Sarah.

I cannot recommend Sarah highly enough and only wish I’d found her sooner. She is incredibly knowledgeable and professional but also very friendly and puts you totally at ease which incredibly important. She has absolutely made me appreciate me the importance of post natal physio and I will definitely be going to see her again at a much earlier stage if I’m lucky enough to have another baby. Thank you for everything Sarah!
