Great cut and colour, she transformed my hair and really listened to what I was looking for. Definitely recommend and will be visiting soon!
Visited the salon a couple of times but unfortunately both times were rushed. Hairdresser repeatedly made me feel uncomfortable because my hair was long and the type of cut I wanted which was her taking more time than she expected. Surely this is a conversation to be had on the phone before accepting a booking. The salon operates cash only below £50 so I think this is important for the salon to mention when they take a telephone booking. The salon is clean and I was happy with my cut but because of the service I won't be returning.
Amazing! I came here for a full head of highlights after wearing extensions for two years. The condition of my hair isn't very good! Ela was amazing, you can tell she really understands hair and the best way to achieve what I wanted. The colour is phenomenal and I'm so happy I came here! Very friendly salon.
I came to Crowning Glory for the first time in February this year and got a balayage done by Connie, I was extremely happy with the result. (First picture) I went back yesterday for another balayage which was done by Ella, and I am so happy to say my hair is finally the colour I’ve been trying to get it for about 10 years! (Second picture) I am so so happy! Thank you so much Ella. I have also recommended to my mum who is looking for a new reliable hairdresser, I told her I won’t go anywhere else! ☺️
I’ve been coming to this salon for a number of years and always been happy until very recently when I booked an appointment through Treatwell as I normally do. I booked an appointment for 01/04 at 9am and cancelled this appointment on 28/03 at 8.30am , when I cancelled this appointment Treatwell booked me another appointment for 28/03 at 9am which I couldn’t make as I was in work and this was clearly a mistake. I cancelled the appointment straight away to find that my card had been charged , i sent an email to which I had no reply and followed up the next day with a phone call , I spoke with Ela the owner and she wasn’t very helpful in fact I would say boarder line rude , saying it was my fault and wouldn’t give my money back but would offer me a ‘ free’ hair cut .. but it couldn’t be a Saturday as it’s her busiest day , Ela didn’t see that as a problem and In fact giving the impression that I was the problem .. the hair cut would not have been free as £40 as already been taken and Ela knew I couldn’t make during the week because of work. She was fully aware this was a mistake with the website but still hasn’t decided to email back to my email or bothered to try and refund me my money. I will never use this establishment again as clearly they are greedy and the way I have been treated by Ela isn’t a way to treat a customer.
I take my google review very seriously. From start off it was already an uneasy appointment but Ela was a lovely stylist, However after 2 weeks of my hair highlight and cut, my hair fall quite extensively than before and I have done many highlights previously. Hair cut is not good, I'm not usually fussy I just asked to make my hair lighter. In he beginning it was alright but after 1 week my top head felt heavy and hard to control as it is feels like only have bottom of my hair was thinned with this sherreded knife she uses I guess. I had many haircuts from different salon including SuperCut but I think this is by far no the the worst one. It's the after effect that made me upset. A lot of people from the area do come and happy with the haircut, but not for me sorry.
Unfortunately, after visiting the salon with the senior stylist my haircut didn’t turn out quite how I had expected, firstly too much had been cut off after I had stated how much I wanted, and lastly I had asked for a trim with a few more layers, and now it’s a completely different haircut with just lots and lots of layers which are all quite short. However the cherry on the cake is that the front of my hair is not the same length as seen in the picture attached. Unfortunately as much as I would have liked to enjoy this place and my haircut I cannot recommend and would not return.
I had been going to this hairdressers for a while and I had no complaints. However on my last visit, I provided the brief that my hair is flat and quite thin so wanted help making it seem a bit fuller. After the cut, Ela then used thinning scissors on my hair without asking my permission (I didn’t know what the tool she was using was until I googled it afterwards). I believe she cut my layers badly so wanted to thin it out to make it less noticeable. I was then left with extremely thin hair when compared with before. i’ve attached a photo of what it looked like when it was tied in a ponytail. I was so upset and didn’t even want to go out in public because of my hair. I will never be returning, which is a big shame. It has been a whole year now since the haircut and my hair still has not returned to its normal thickness.
Thanks Molly for the amazing haircut. I came in with brittle and dry hair. Molly was really kind and made sure to listen to what I wanted. Now, it feels so much healthier and shiny. Nice hairdressers, decor, parking outside as well and provide tea/coffee if you would like.
