   First time going to the salon, not very happy with my nails.  I originally wanted dip powder, but was talked out of it, paid more for builder gel and then not even a week later one broke and another was braking, I did go back and get ithem fixed with no extra charge.  However it should never have happened, i have never had this problem before.  Paid more for builder gel, and now another nail is breaking, not worth the money at all.  Can you imagine if it was for my wedding day, very unhappy and disappointed. The nail technicians should know what they are doing!

   I cannot recommend Candy in Wanstead enough. I am extremely fussy about where I get my nails done, I like them done to a really high standard & I have found that no where else locally can meet the standards of Candy. I actually don’t live near to the salon, but I’m happy to drive for a while because I’m always happy with the results. The salon is clean and stylish & the range of colours they have for nails is the best! The staff are so friendly, I always feel so welcomed, and enjoy that time to myself every time I go- it’s a lovely treat. The team always offer lovely drinks and biscuits, & if ever I’ve called up the salon they’ve always answered the phone super quickly & remember me which means a lot to me to feel like a valued customer. Also, the salon have loyalty cards which is worth using if you plan to go regularly.

   I recently visited Pemika for a perm, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. As a guy with fairly short hair, I wasn’t sure how well a perm would turn out—but Pemika did an amazing job. She really took the time to understand the look I was going for: something natural with loose curls and waves. After letting it dry and using some sea salt spray (which she recommended), it came out exactly how I wanted—soft, wavy, and with just the right amount of curl. Even with the shorter length, she made it work perfectly. If you’re a guy thinking about getting a perm, especially with shorter hair, I’d definitely say go for it. It was totally worth it, and I’d go back to Pemika again without hesitation. Highly recommend!

   Love, love, love, Hair Candy… I’ve been doing my nails with them for almost 10 years and Lisa and her team are awesome. I recently tried another salon a couple of times, as I was visiting with a friend, but have come back to my favourites because they’re unbeatable in terms of service, atmosphere, and the quality of the nails. They always take special care of their customers too, with nice touches such as a gift of hand cream… highly recommend.

   The best salon in Wanstead & Woodford. I’ve used many salons since moving here 15 years ago and by far Hair Candy is the best in terms of attentiveness, knowledgeability with experienced hairdressers & nail technicians. Lisa the owner, goes out of her way to accommodate you, as do the staff, they really make their customers feel part of family and nothing is ever to much bother. Highly recommend!

   I wanted a change up with my hair make it look more natural after having highlights for years, and was recommended to Tenika by a friend. She made me feel so at ease and talked me through different options of what was best for my hair, and also what would suit my skin tone best. She did a reverse balayage for me and it turned out so beautiful!! She’s given me exactly what I asked for, and is also just such a lovely person and so easy to talk to. Highly recommend!!
