We've been a couple of times now but we won't be coming back. The 0-2 year old section regularly has 4/5 year olds throwing around the soft play equipment, had to remove my daughter and physically ask the staff to tell the parents to get their children off the infant area. Parents bring their kids here and don't keep an eye on them. My 1 year old daughter was bullied by two older children here, they stole the ball she was playing with, the parents just shrugged. No one cares, as long as they can have a gossip and a coffee and so they don't actually have to parent. Massive yikes

We recently visited the Play Barn in Blackpool with my son and my nephew to meet up with my sisters and their children (a baby, a 7-year-old, and a 9-year-old). My sister’s 9-year-old, who is the same height as my son, was allowed entry without any issue. My nephew, who is 10, was also allowed in. When we arrived, however, the man at the till was extremely rude and refused to let my 9-year-old son in. My son has autism and is very gentle, but he is tall for his age just over the height line, mostly because of his hair. It clearly wasn’t a safety issue, yet we were treated very abruptly and with no empathy or understanding. Not only that but only a couple of weeks ago we visited with no issues. What made it even more frustrating was that we had our nephew with us, and the man seemed to assume my son was the oldest simply because of his height even though he isn’t. It was really upsetting for my son, who didn’t understand why he was being treated differently when other children of the same height were allowed to play. Instead of judging children purely by height, it would make far more sense to have an age-based policy, as children of the same age can vary so much in height. A bit of consistency, kindness, and common sense would have made all the difference. In the end, my sisters asked for refunds, and we all decided to leave and go to Airhop instead, where the staff were friendly and understanding, and all the children had a great time. Sadly, we won’t be returning to the Play Barn.

I have been to several parties with Ruby as the party host and she has been amazing. Myself and friends with young toddlers went to playbarn today, it was very quiet and Ruby was working. She was fantastic with all the children, running around after them and entertaining them round the whole play area. You can tell she is very passionate about her role and is a credit to the playbarn. Thank you

Had a party here today and the team was great. Ruby the party host was fantastic, so attentive and entertaining. Could not fault her enthusiasm! Our little boy was in awe of her. The food offering was great and we felt like we go good value for money.

Take my kids all the time (3 & 5) being local and having the zoo membership giving me half price entry, it's amazing. Well kept and very big. Kids love it!

We go to the zoo alot but today we had extra time to call into the play gym, it cost £10 for 5 kids which is not bad i suppose (its half price when you visit the zoo) i would never pay full price! When we entered there was only one dirty table, the girl behind the desk said she would get it cleaned, she made zero effort to do that. The gym is a good size and it has a football pitch. Lots of adults on the equipment which was unnecessary and my children were getting hit often from other horrid kids. My partner ordered from the cafe and was told they would bring it after half an hour i sent him back apparently they "forgot". It was also really cold! Alright for the kids running around but not so good for the parents having to sit around. Can't say we will be back in, we will stick to the small one in the cafe at the zoo entrance (£1)
