“We had an amazing family day out. So much to see (impossible to see in one day). Plenty of cafes, restaurants and clean toilets all around the zoo. Also plenty of benches to sit on when you need a break. We will definitely visit again”
“I always love visiting Chester zoo and being enlightened educationally at Cedar house, Staff are consistently polite, friendly and welcoming!”
“Went on a Tuesday for granddaughters 2nd birthday, lovely zoo with plenty of animals. Love you could get up close to most instead of having to view across a large field. All animals looked healthy and the baby elephant that has recently been born was lovely added bonus. Will definitely be returning next year”
“Visited near Christmas in an afternoon for lunch. The food was really nice - and a little bit more unusual for what you'd normally expect from a 'tourist attraction' type place! The staff were friendly and helpful with assisting with a gluten intolerance that one of our party has. Would definitely recommend for if you are visiting Chester Zoo!”
“An beautiful and amazing place. Hopefully going back soon as didn't have enough time to do and see everything”
“Great place to get lost and chill with Sunda gharials and converse with the wise orangutan”
“Just visited for the first time and loved it. Spent hours there and even had dinner there. Lots to see on the walks around the zoo. Check out the website. The food was a little expensive but it all helps to keep the place open and the cafe was really clean and modern and well looked after. All the staff were great. Little talks every hour or so but we missed them lol. Would highly recommend.”
“Great little hidden secret right by the 2nd biggest attraction in the UK. The park has just undergone an expansion and currently waiting to flourish, don't expect to see lots of wildlife you need to have patience but there is a Hide to wait out and see if you can spot otters, kingfishers or what ever nature throws at you. Once the plots and park mature this will be a haven for wildlife. 5* because it's beautiful and quiet, nice for a picnic but if you have young kids like me maybe the zoo would be a better place for you. If you want peace and reflect or want to photograph wildlife and flowers this is the place. #getoutdoors”
“It is just some cabinets in the food hall. It's free and looks great.”
“Had a party here today and the team was great. Ruby the party host was fantastic, so attentive and entertaining. Could not fault her enthusiasm! Our little boy was in awe of her. The food offering was great and we felt like we go good value for money.”
“Lovely clean house, and decent sized garden, and perfect for visiting the zoo, blue planet quarium and the Ice Cream which has much more than ice cream to keep little ones busy. Chris, the owner, was very attentive and checked in several times, although not excessively, to ensure we had all we need. If in need of food can fully recommend the Indian at the end of the road and there is also a spar for any supplies. We will be back.”

“What a fabulous experience, we visited Sunday 14th April and had a wonderful time with the alpacas at Greenhill alpaca trekking. Diane was fabulous, very welcoming and friendly. After being introduced to the alpacas our children age 16 and 14 took an alpaca each on a lovely walk through the farm passing all the the other farm animals before moving onto the higher field. Diane was very informative along the way sharing very interesting information about alpacas. It was funny to see the alpacas enjoying a break along the way by sitting in the muddy puddles. After the trek we enjoyed refreshments and cakes. The fridge magnet is a lovely souvenir to take away. We all had a great experience and would like to thank Diane and the alpacas for a lovely time. Best wishes from the Green Family, Rhyl.”
“First time ordering from here and it wont be the last every item on our order was fantastic. Our daughter recommended this fantastic place to us,my parents visited before they went to Thailand and they enjoyed it. Now we have tried it.I was hooked after just 2 mouthfuls of my chicken panang. The spring rolls, fishcakes and the stuffed wings exquisite. We are celebrating our 27th anniversary and this was our anniversary meal. I guarantee we will be ordering again thank you so much.”
“We went on a dull day. There was a lot of brown ducks. Im sure if you know your duck they were different. There are storks and flamingos. There are a couple of play areas. One wet play so take a towel and possibly a change of clothes. There is a Reed bed walk off the car park which we walked part way.”
“Lovely views over the River Dee. Loads of black tailed godwits. Also, avocets and spoonbills. Lots of walking in fresh air. Hides along the walk.”
“Absolutely great day out for the younger ones. Staff were really lovely and friendly, cafe was spot on, and lots to do all for a great price. Really enjoyed the day, deffo return ⭐️”
“Lovely green place to visit. Clean and tidy. If you’re dog walker then it must be kept on a lead. Even good place for river views. God place for children to play. It must be lovely day out in summer for a picnic not bad in autumn either. Worth to visit and have a walk at the edge of river”
“A beautiful cathedral lots of history and things to see. £5 voluntary admission price into cathedral. Takes a good hour to walk about. On day of visit part of area was unaccessible due to a private function. Nice grounds to walk around also souvenir shop.”
“Got it! Here’s a revised version taking into account that the café was closed during your visit: --- Our visit to Greenslate Community Farm in January was delightful. We were thrilled to see donkeys, goats, ferrets, and bunnies. All the animals are lovely and well-cared for. The farm is well-organized and offers various activities suitable for families. Although the café was closed during our visit, it’s usually available and offers delicious homemade food. We enjoyed exploring the nature trails and learning about sustainable farming practices. Parking was convenient and easily accessible. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, providing interesting information about the animals and the farm’s mission. For those planning a visit, I recommend wearing comfortable footwear as the ground can be uneven. It’s also a good idea to bring a waterproof jacket if visiting during the wetter months. Overall, we had a great time and look forward to visiting again soon. Greenslate Community Farm is a wonderful place to connect with nature and learn about farming in a fun and engaging way.”
“Fab little cafe and great location just off M56 on way to/from North Wales. Dog friendly. Honest hearty food at fair prices. Will be back. Thanks”
“Had a lovely breakfast this morning. The service was so friendly and welcoming. The coffee was exceptional. We will definitely be back!”
“This was a lovely place to visit. Though small, it is very interesting, and well worth your time. Look out for the bat experience. You can walk into a dark room where the bats roost, and can see/feel them flying around your head. Magical. There is a small but interesting gift shop. The place is fully accessible.”
