“Me and my girlfriend visited Exotic Zoo after purchasing a voucher for an armadillo experience. It was a lovely zoo with very welcoming staff including a lovely girl called kennedy who did our armadillo experience, she was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable and made sure we had a great experience. It was well worth the money for both the experience and the zoo itself. I would urge anyone to visit the zoo as it is a lovely experience and worth the very fair price that it costs.”
“I loved the wildlife experience, I was able to handle a friendly Snake, enter the fox enclosure and feed them as well as meeting a Skunk and Serval. After the experience, I wondered around the the Zoo and managed to feed some Ostriches and check out some cute Capybaras! Food and drink is also available on site and I managed to get a sandwich and Hot Dog to share. It was such a fun hands on experience and I loved how I learnt so many fascinating facts about them, the perfect experience for any animal lover!”
“What a fabulous zoo! Small but packs a good amount into a small space that is well laid out and dressed up so you feel like you're walking through a small jungle. With the Half Penny Green Restaurant, deli and shop and the Craft Village, there is plenty to have a look around and good options to have a sit down and refuel before heading back to the zoo for more of the talks and shows to make the most of the day. The star of the whole experience for me, has to be the shows and in particular, the bird show. I mean wow....just wow! The bird show alone makes the whole day worth it and is a must see experience. Incredibly well presented and informative with a grand finale that just left me speechless. Truly spectacular and the effort and expertise needed in putting it together must be phenomenal, but the results are such a special awe-inspiring spectacle. The staff really make this place special. Their knowledge, enthusiasm, friendliness, dedication and their desire to share that with the public through the various talks, shows and ad-hoc interactions around the zoo really makes this place special.”
“We went for the reptile experience and really enjoyed it. Holly was very knowledgeable and clearly loved her job. We got to hold snakes and a gecko, and feed them. Definitely worth the money we paid.”
“A truly fantastic place for anyone who loves animals! The staff were incredibly fantastic (bonus points to the two who managed to catch the Pygmy kid who had injured its ear on the fence!) and the animals even more so. Huge thanks to everyone there for making it the amazing day that it was! Highly recommend for anyone/families with members who love to not just see, but interact with the animals as well! Will definitely be coming back next time we're in the area! ********** Have been back several times since this post, even ended up adopting Rowan, the Pygmy kid who injured her ear! Love every second spent at this place!”
“Really unexpected. Plenty of anymals to see, a really nice area for the children to play and a large area for parents to enjoy a good day out.”
“We had Stefan round for our 8 year old daughters birthday. He was excellent. We had 9 kids and each had the opportunity to hold the cockroach, snakes, gecko, owl and skunk. The numbers felt about right. Lots of information about the animals and lots of questions answered. Not all the kids felt confident enough to hold all the animals but there's no pressure. A really different but enjoyable idea for a birthday party. We would definitely recommend and Stefan told us that each of the team has a slightly different set of animals so would book them again.”
“Been here a few times , it's so good for the price and way more animals then other places that are more money Lovely and the kids love it”
“Lovely cafe here for drinks and food. Nice place to walk around with kids. Various animals to see and a lovely green space.”
“Kids enjoyed it and all the animals are so friendly and could be fed. Nice food in cafe. Had a nice couple of hours there. Dogs are welcome too!! Only small so not loads of walking to do and there's a nice outdoor play area for the kids. Will definitely be returning.”
“Nice place to walk around full of nature and wildlife.”
“My grand daughter loves to go here. She does this thing called “shifting” and says she’s a therian. She likes to let out her inner dog, definitely recommend!”
“We visit here every weekend, my son loves it, the staff are welcoming and friendly and go out of their way to provide an enjoyable experience. They take the time to get to know you. Nothing seems to much trouble for them. My son loves the animals and has formed an amazing bond with Jack the dog. Would definitely recommend a visit. X”
“Delightful nature reserve full of early spring flowers (dadodils, wild garlic and bluebell). Indulge yourselves in a tranquil wander.”
“Great small holding. Sarah sells free range eggs. Delicious.”
“Fun place.... kid's will love it.”
“Absolutely brilliant place. Jon and his daughter were so accommodating and were brilliant with our two young children. Ran by down to earth people who have a passion for what they do. They have time for you and will make any necessary adjustments that may be required. We had our own personal tour and ventured into many of the animal enclosures, not many sanctuary’s / nurseries give you this opportunity or personal touch. In summary this was a gem of a find and we will be back. They do offer adoption services and greatly receive any donations, all of which makes a huge difference and goes towards the upkeep of the animals.”
