“Fantastic place to work out. Whatever your goals are Mick will help you achieve them. His professionalism, fitness knowledge, advice and overall friendliness is welcoming and second to none. I would 100% recommend the Fitnesszoo to anyone.”
“Excellent animal experience for a 5 year olds party.”
“The staff are lovely and friendly”
“We hired Tickhill Alpacas for our Wedding in August 2025 and they truly made it a special day. Alan and Lenny stole the show and all our guests loved them! If you are looking for something unique and special, I would highly recommend hiring them for your special day. Karen organised every detail we required and Dean was on hand on the day with any questions anyone had about the Alpacas. A great experience all round!”
“Amazing place, friendly owners. Loads of space to park and the fields are great. There's toys, balls and equipment to use. We've been LOADS and are booking another visit soon!”
“Again another amazing day trip with the family amazing animals and this time was a theme park rides One of the best day out I've had in a long time”
“Such a great place even in the rain! There were a couple of animals like the armadillos that weren’t there which was a shame but overall it was a great place for all ages. We got soaking on the tractor ride which was a lot of fun but as it’s right next to the butterfly house we just went in there to dry off. I can’t fault the staff they were all lovely and because it had rained for most of the our visit you could go back into the office before you left and get vouchers to return for free.”
“Bit of an awkward drive (if you are coming from out of Sheffield /m1) -but worth it. It was a lovely farm, felt nourished we had a fantastic time. Was lovely seeing the Guinea pigs looked after and loads of space to roam.”
“Fantastic place. Great for kids, a lot of activities, feeding animals, play ground, sand pit. My daughter loves their little tricycles area. Not expensive.”
“The wildlife at sherwood center parcs is amazing and lovely to watch”
“Nice trip out, forgot it was school holidays, but not too busy. Only few minutes down the road from us. Animals seem happy and well cared for. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Ample parking. Nice little gem, well worth a visit”
“Went to see the horizon sculptures in the parkland, apart from parking cost(£5.00)it is free. Well worth a visit.”
“Great experience. Lovely place and so close to home. This wildlife park is great for all ages, and people with disabilities, good wheelchair access. The parrots are great. You can have a walk in experience, they fly freely and feed from your hand. Free carpark about 8 disabled bays. Entry fee £16.99 standard £14.99 concessions. Would recommend.”
“It’s a nice place to be When you’re there you would be able to see the Sheffield city centre which is an interesting location to visit”
“My friends and I can here as part of our weekend away.. we are so glad we did! Didn’t disappoint. Peter was so informative and just lovely with the animals, can tell he loves his job. Nipped to the cafe, beautiful selection of cakes etc.. Tina was wonderful and obviously also loves where she works. Thank you for a lovely day!”
“Lovely place with a variety of animals and a good coffee. dog friendly. Great for a day out. They also do very fun events and workshops so it’s worth checking out what’s on! Also selling plants, manure, eggs etc”
“Lovely place, a bit dull at moment given where still in winter mode, A few paths closed ( seem to be water logged 2/2/25 ) not much in way of birds or deer. Great walk around and a few people about , Cafe area is large but the wooden/metal chairs are too heavy.”
“Myself and my little boy (14months) came here for light illuminations and stayed over in hotel. What an amazing time! Hotel was immaculate, super clean, modern. A great nights sleep! Staff were super friendly and helpful especially accommodating as I was my own with little one. Only downside was the travel cot mattress was extremely hard but this is common across most hotels we visit. Zoo itself was great. Super clean, great to see all the animals, play areas were super for little ones too. Illuminations was spectacular and SO impressive! Will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend :)”
“A Buzzing Destination for All Ages, with Free Amphitheatre Shows! Nestled in the heart of Yorkshire, The Yorkshire Hive is truly a gem that offers an impressive array of attractions for visitors of all ages. From delightful shops and cosy cafes to a thrilling Ferris wheel, Amphitheatre and a play barn for the kids, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and the daily amphitheatre shows are free, which is a huge bonus, especially for families or those on a budget. The convenience of a large car park and public toilets makes for a stress-free visit, and the crowning jewel of this destination is undoubtedly the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, which provides a fantastic day out for families and animal lovers alike. One of the standout features, is its vibrant community of shop owners. Each shop is staffed by friendly owner operators, knowledgeable individuals who excel in customer conversation and communication, making shopping here an enjoyable experience. It's refreshing to see such dedication to customer service in today's retail environment. We thoroughly enjoyed browsing through the boutiques, and it was a delight to interact with the passionate owners who take pride in their offerings. As for the eateries, the cafes are charming and well worth a visit, but I have to give a particular shout-out to Cornerstone Gelato. Their ice cream is nothing short of dangerous—amazing flavours that will leave you two stone heavier! The staff are enthusiastic and persuasive, ensuring that you leave with a wider selection than you’d initially intended. It’s a testament to their excellent customer service; just be prepared to indulge a little too much! However, there's potential for even more growth and enrichment at The Yorkshire Hive. Adding a few more small shops could enhance its appeal as a shopping destination, allowing retailers to support one another and create an inviting marketplace atmosphere. Perhaps the Yorkshire Wildlife Park could play a role in this development by offering discount coupons for small businesses in The Hive. Such initiatives would not only bolster the local economy but would also create a community-centric vibe that would attract repeat visitors. After all, every little bit helps, especially for small retailers trying to make their mark. This is a must-visit destination that captivates with its diverse offerings and strong sense of community. We will certainly be returning, Thank you, Yorkshire Hive, for a delightful experience!”
“Great castle and stunning views. We went while the Halloween events were on and my 6 year old absolutely loved it. I think it would have been nice for more information to be around to read, for those of us that didn't pick up an audio guide (they are hard to listen to with a young child running around), some short descriptions of each of the rooms around the castle would have been really interesting. But overall really enjoyed our visit!”
“Beautiful place which is really well maintained. Lots of little hideaway to look at nature. Lots of bench’s to sit and take in the views and a little picnic area to eat away from from the lake. To say we went on Good Friday it was really quite, I would highly recommend anyone to go.”
“Lovely little place, loads of cute animals, good cafe with lots of dinner options”
“Had a great time at the farm! The facilities are clean and well-maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of fun and interactive activities with the animals. Kids will love the pony ride — don’t miss it!”
“The VIP experience here was absolutely fantastic, holding reptiles, small mammals, baby goats, feeding lambs, picking eggs from the chicken coops. My 3 year-old absolutely loved it and Lauren the animal keeper who took us on the tour was super friendly. Fantastic value - we will be back! Topped off with a delicious ice-cream!”
“It was difficult to find, (use What3words ///sheepish.polices.competent) and even when you’re almost on top of it, you could still miss it. Not much to see, small enclosure around the burial mound and a faded information board. But I love it here, standing looking around the landscape, reflecting on a time so long ago, it’s hard to imagine. I guess the location was chosen because it was meant to be seen from far away, the view is beautiful”
“We visited Matlock bath and were waiting for the gardens to open for the Illuminations event. I wasn't expecting the aquarium to be as packed as it was. It's a little 'tardis' and seems to keep going once inside. There are many tanks with different aquatic life, but the highlight for me was the old swimming baths which is filled up with the spring waters, and enjoyed by the giant koi carp. Of course you can buy a handful of food from a gumball machine and feed them too. Also inside were some holographic pictures and a hall of mirrors. Recommended, especially for the price.”
“Great place for a walk or cycle ride away from the road, newly built gates negate kids on motorbikes and quads so a lot safer then a few years ago. You can also access edlo woods from numerous points around the walk and you never know, you may see some lovely wildlife too!”
“Great site, well organised hard working friendly team.”
