Spur of the moment decision to visit here. Great value for money. It was worth it just to see the lion. Lots of animals to see. Plenty of exotic birds. The walk-in part with the birds was quite cool. Listened to the ranger give a few talk on the animals too, it was such a good day. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely zoo. Small enough for our 4 year old to walk around it twice and not complain. The white lion is stunning, sad back story, the black leopard slept a lot. The birds were amazing fun to interact with. It was lovely weather and a great find. The funding for Alex will be a great addition to the park when he gets there.
Great experience. Lovely place and so close to home. This wildlife park is great for all ages, and people with disabilities, good wheelchair access. The parrots are great. You can have a walk in experience, they fly freely and feed from your hand. Free carpark about 8 disabled bays. Entry fee £16.99 standard £14.99 concessions. Would recommend.
Visited a couple of days ago as two adults and a toddler, came to £30 for us all and then around £16 in the restaurant and £6.99 in the gift shop. Not a single complaint about the price at all! When I first arrived I can’t say I was expecting much, we decided to visit as it is less than a mile away from my in laws house but I can definitely say I shouldn’t have judged a book by the cover! The parrots were lovely and very funny and talkative. Our little boy loves birds so he was very excited and loved feeding peanuts to the parrots. The two walk through aviary’s were spotless with a staff member scrubbing down and dirt or mess continuously. The nursing enclosures were very informative on parrot behaviour as well. Far bigger than what I expected too and took us around 3-4 hours to get around everything. The tigers were great to see. The only thing I would point out was that the large white lion seemed to be pacing a lot and for a lion he didn’t seem to have much space. However it was amazing to hear him roar several times. The reindeer and rhea had a stunning woodland enclosure. The fish and pond was a lovely addition as well. The wildlife park was truly one of the highlights of our week!
Absolutely loved the whole experience. Really reccomend a visit for all ages. Get yourself some millet from the shop to feed the aviary bird, we loved it and made some great friends. The tigers and white lions were stunning. We spent the whole day here and loved every minute. The animal talks were very informative and a great opportunity. Thanks to all the lovely staff.
We had a really good day out with the children, we quite easily spent 3-4hrs looking around. The park is really well laid out and immaculately kept. There is plenty of parking. The staff a very helpful and friendly and all the animals are obviously very well cared for. Only the black panther was elusive enough that we didn't see it. The interactive parrot area and the meerkats western themed enclosure were the children's favourites.
I can’t even begin to say how much of an amazing day me and my wife had. We regularly go to new zoos/wildlife parks and enjoy them very much. Now this place. Was amazing. Great staff, everyone had a smile on their faces. The actual park itself, facilities and general up keep was fantastic. The animals are all kept immaculately and do not want for anything. The indoor aviary that you can walk around and have birds land on you and eat peanuts from your hand was one of the best experiences I have had in a while. We cannot wait to come back. Wow, well worth a visit, we went on a Monday park was very quiet. The staff were all very knowledgeable and polite. The walk through parrot area was unforgettable (see pics). We also visited the Bengal tiger enclosure and a very helpful lady told us all about the tigers very informative. Looks great for families or adult parties. Please visit and support them they are doing outstanding work.
Super place. Friendly staff. Large enclosures for animals. Animals and birds all look happy and content. We did a feed the tiger experience which was brilliant. The big cats are stunning ! Easy parking outside and lovely hot coffee from the diner. You can even buy food to feed the animals there. A fab place for children - good value for money i thought
