Brilliant zoo with a lot of care put into the animals' habitats. The polar bears were a special highlight and they were in an amazing paddock. Then we stayed for the light show when the sun went down which the kids loved. Every was well thought out and it wasn't too busy.

We visited the Winter Illuminations last night. It was a fantastic evening filled woth wholesome family time. The displays were just amazing, and it had changed enough from last year to feel fresh and new. You buy a ticket for a 25 minute starting segment and then just walk at your own pace. The walk is divided into sections with a theme and we loved it. The waterproof show is also worth watching. We all had some chunky chips which were enough to satisfy everyone. For 3 adults and 2 kids it was about £100 entry and we spent £50 on food, drink and rides. So not a cheap evening out but a great memory and worth the money.

First visit for me and it wasn't to see the animals! We went to see the Christmas lights and they did not disappoint. They were great, so wonderful, really enjoyed them and the hot doughnuts along the route. It's a long walk, so maybe not suitable for all, but great for wheel chairs, flat and puddle free. Also loved seeing the animatronic dinosaurs at the end. Great evening. Highly recommend

Visited for the winter Illuminations. A great evening out. We visited just as the park was going dark and just caught the seals going in for the night. The Wolves were out too. The Illuminations are great and cover many subjects, animals, Harry Potter, wizard of Oz etc. There's refreshments stops throughout the walk and a place to eat roughly in the middle. The surface is ok for all abilities and witnessed wheelchairs using the paths. Overall a good attraction

Myself and my little boy (14months) came here for light illuminations and stayed over in hotel. What an amazing time! Hotel was immaculate, super clean, modern. A great nights sleep! Staff were super friendly and helpful especially accommodating as I was my own with little one. Only downside was the travel cot mattress was extremely hard but this is common across most hotels we visit. Zoo itself was great. Super clean, great to see all the animals, play areas were super for little ones too. Illuminations was spectacular and SO impressive! Will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend :)

Great Park. Can almost be described as a waking safari. Have a good range of animals. Amazing to see polar bears! Couldn’t see any leopards when we visited. Tip: Book tickets online in advance as ticket lines can be big. Fair bit of waking so wear comfy shoes. Allow at least 2-3hrs. Food and drink is very expensive inside. Slush drinks are rubbish. Machines didn’t work on the scorching day we visited.

First time visiting, we were very impressed. The park was clean and well laid out. The animal enclosures were a lot bigger than other zoos we have been to as a result the animals seemed a lot happier and more playful. We ate at the safari cafe the price is what you expect to pay but the food was lovely. Be prepared for a lot of walking due to the size of the site. We will definitely be returning.

When you are visiting the park with a school group, the staff was definitely nice and supportive in accommodating us all. We saw polar bears, red panda, lions, lioness, tigers, camels, giraffe, monkeys, gelada(a rare specie) and there was a nice park for kids to play on the swings or build sandcastles. The walk, however, was very long to see all the animals and the weather, freezing while we were doing a tour. I wish there were more Guides, to tell us better about different animals/species or a safari to carry us long distances!!
