“Thankyou so much Mick and a big thanks to your son for making my daughters 18th birthday such an amazing one, excellent service, professional and so reliable, the equipment in the party tent was second to none, I cannot fault anything.. Highly recommend your service Andy from edenthorpe”
“We have just returned from a two night stay in our caravan at this absolutely amazing site. If you’re looking for somewhere to relax this is the place, we setup in the paddock positioned in front of the pods, absolutely stunning views on the sunset and sunrise. Toilets and other facilities throughout the site are absolutely amazing, one of the best I’ve visited over the years and added bonus it’s only 15 minutes from our home. From the initial contact the team made us feel very welcome, special thanks to Alison ☺️ We were also pleasantly surprised during a walk around the lakes on the evening with all the stag statues with lighting etc The sites dog friendly too. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a quiet relaxing weekend away without the children and a spot of fishing.”
“Lovely little park. Really helpful boss. We had problems due to road closures getting our caravan home so left it there for a while st reduced rate. Plenty of room. Good toilets and showers. Just lovely”
“So impressed with this place manager was so welcoming and friendly , and made my boy very happy and excited!”
“Myself and my little boy (14months) came here for light illuminations and stayed over in hotel. What an amazing time! Hotel was immaculate, super clean, modern. A great nights sleep! Staff were super friendly and helpful especially accommodating as I was my own with little one. Only downside was the travel cot mattress was extremely hard but this is common across most hotels we visit. Zoo itself was great. Super clean, great to see all the animals, play areas were super for little ones too. Illuminations was spectacular and SO impressive! Will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend :)”
“It was amazing day out with the kids, I recommend it to everyone. Also contains big water splash area”
“Absolutely lovely, it's that nice we have put a caravan on permanently, the pub is on site food good ,friendly people”
“A great fun place to take the kids or grand kids.”
“Took our touring caravan to misterton for a long weekend. Didn't spend much time on the site as we were visiting relatives nearby. It was exactly what we needed, small and peaceful. Well maintained grass pitches. Hard pitches availabe too. Lovely pub 2 mins walk away. For a longer stay, onsite toilets and showers would have been nice. Annie was very welcoming and helpful.”
“It's a really nice space, much used and very well cared for by the volunteers. I took my litter picker upper, aspiring to a place in the pantheon. There's also an excellent, authentic 1950s style café open in the mornings with all appropriate delicacies - Perfect.”
“Had a lovely family walk around the lake at Thrybergh Country Park. The sunny yet Autumnal weather was glorious and the lake was so clear, it was really impressive. The flat and level path around the lake was a nice steady walk and on a Saturday afternoon didn't seem too busy with dog walkers and joggers. Approximately 50% of the path around the lake is relatively new tarmac, with the rest compacted material with a few puddles, but nothing difficult to navigate. The small playground entertained my kids for about half an hour and me and my wife enjoyed a great and competitively priced coffee from the cafe to enjoy on the benches nearby. I was thoroughly impressed with how free from litter the whole county park was. It was noticeably clean and tidy, so the park rangers are clearly doing a fantastic job.”
“Amazing day from start to finish boys absolutely loved it .. Great weekend for camping Will definitely be going again .. We purchased tickets on the day inside on the tablets Make sure you sign your waivers before hand then there’s no waiting brilliant day so it you won’t be disappointed”
“OK so Hexthorpe is not the best area in Doncaster but blimey I was really surprised by Hexthorpe Park, it's beautiful, spotlessly clean, very well maintained and colourful, the birds in the aviary (cockatiels and budgies) are obviously very well looked after. I know there's a group of volunteers working alongside the council maintaining the park, so well done to all concerned. I now walk through the park quite often because it also boasts access to the Transpennine Trail at the side of the rowing club in the park.”
“Lovely site, well kept by Terry the warden, very pleasant stay will be going again soon ,nice walks down the chesterfield canal, handy for two pubs and a yacht club”
“We came on a Sunday afternoon and with the kids and had a fab time the attendants were really helpful and polite really fair priced and loads to do for the family highly recommended”
“Perfect landmark to navigate parts of doncaster”
“Very convenient for shopping Good atmosphere”
“This place is a dream. The staff treat you like royalty. Manny friendly chaps in base ball caps and trainers outside. The rooms are first class. The bar is great this was a dream come true. Well done”
“We hired Tickhill Alpacas for our Wedding in August 2025 and they truly made it a special day. Alan and Lenny stole the show and all our guests loved them! If you are looking for something unique and special, I would highly recommend hiring them for your special day. Karen organised every detail we required and Dean was on hand on the day with any questions anyone had about the Alpacas. A great experience all round!”
“Brilliant service, got greeted as soon as we walked in. Didn't get force sold anything, had a nice chat and laugh with staff. Food was served quickly, you can see it all being cooked in front of you. Seating is limited to only 4 tables but we found space easily! Would recommend and will be going back!”
“First time visit cafe only one table free, good energy over heard other customers complimenting the staff for the food and service and had to do the same after my full English breakfast . Will definately be back soon”
“Lovely place, a bit dull at moment given where still in winter mode, A few paths closed ( seem to be water logged 2/2/25 ) not much in way of birds or deer. Great walk around and a few people about , Cafe area is large but the wooden/metal chairs are too heavy.”
“beautiful park to run and enjoy nature”
“First time visit. A lovely affordable steak and grill. I had the 8oz fillet, zamutos salad for main which was cooked perfectly! The muscles for starter were also beautiful.”
“This is an outstanding area of beauty, situated along the Don gorge at the side of Sprotborough Falls. I walk or ride along the Don on the TPT (Trans Penine Trail) quite often with my partner and the dogs and pass the Flash. It's a place that's beautiful no matter what time of year. In the summer this year we spotted the local king fisher. He/she was sat on a post not 20 yards away looking around with not a care in the world. If you're in the area be sure to go. After a nice walk you can always pop into The Boat Inn for a bite to eat and maybe something to drink.”
“Fantastic place to visit. Lovely walk around the lake, or in the woods.”
“Always ordering from here of we having takeaway best pizza, kebab and burgers in Doncaster hands down”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely amazing food! The pizza was one of the best I’ve had – light, crisp base with fresh, flavorful toppings. The Tikka on Naan was outstanding too, full of taste and cooked perfectly. On top of that, the customer service was excellent with friendly and clear communication. Highly recommend this place – can’t wait to come back!”
“We both had hot coffee and took home the banana chocolate cake which was very delicious. The coffee was piping hot!”
“We visited the gardens on their charity open day. Have visited twice previously and on each occasion it has been a lovely experience. It is a beautiful place.”
