“Great place for a long walk in the nature.”
“Visited for a car show. Everything was extremely well organized and we had a lovely enjoyable day. Lots of beautiful cars, a great arena and lots of stalls including food stalls.”
“Such a quaint little cart. The workers are always lovely and hit the mark with their drinks - I’ve never left disappointed. They always have unique drinks on offer and are in the best location for a chill or stroll”
“Great walk along the river and back. Beware of the mud and very rocky paths. We were told it was a good walk for kids and buggys. It's definitely not. But lots of river views, wildlife, mini waterfalls, spooky train tunnels to walk through.”
“This is a really nice place for a walk and plenty places to stop and have a rest also! Really nice area of Sheffield if you need to go collect your thoughts get a coffee and go there!!”
“Some of the finest woodland walks in Sheffield (and there are many to choose from!) Visit the Shepherds Wheel for a look back at what made Sheffield a fantastic place to live.”
“As ever...... excellent! A hidden gem - lovely river (the Don), a fantastic viaduct, lovely views across the fields. Feeding the duck and other birds, so relaxing.”

“This is a beautiful location the toilet shower and washing up facilities are perfect. A little cafe that also sells alcohol is a lovely addition. Partner thinks tgey should do sausage and bacon sandwiches and breakfasts lol”
“We visited here on a beautiful early April afternoon during the school holidays and were amazed at lovely and peaceful the park was. There were plenty of benches around to sit and absorb the oh so lovely surroundings, it is a truly tranquil place and obviously well cared for. There is a great cafe selling a variety of superb food and great coffee too. Facilities wise there are loos and plenty of car parking. All in all the park is one of Sheffield's gems. Well worth a visit. We LOVED it and will be back.”
“Such a great place even in the rain! There were a couple of animals like the armadillos that weren’t there which was a shame but overall it was a great place for all ages. We got soaking on the tractor ride which was a lot of fun but as it’s right next to the butterfly house we just went in there to dry off. I can’t fault the staff they were all lovely and because it had rained for most of the our visit you could go back into the office before you left and get vouchers to return for free.”
“Bit of an awkward drive (if you are coming from out of Sheffield /m1) -but worth it. It was a lovely farm, felt nourished we had a fantastic time. Was lovely seeing the Guinea pigs looked after and loads of space to roam.”
“Lovely little park. Really helpful boss. We had problems due to road closures getting our caravan home so left it there for a while st reduced rate. Plenty of room. Good toilets and showers. Just lovely”
“We have just returned from a two night stay in our caravan at this absolutely amazing site. If you’re looking for somewhere to relax this is the place, we setup in the paddock positioned in front of the pods, absolutely stunning views on the sunset and sunrise. Toilets and other facilities throughout the site are absolutely amazing, one of the best I’ve visited over the years and added bonus it’s only 15 minutes from our home. From the initial contact the team made us feel very welcome, special thanks to Alison ☺️ We were also pleasantly surprised during a walk around the lakes on the evening with all the stag statues with lighting etc The sites dog friendly too. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a quiet relaxing weekend away without the children and a spot of fishing.”
“So impressed with this place manager was so welcoming and friendly , and made my boy very happy and excited!”
“Wonderful day out,an incredible place stunning walks through woodland, along the meandering river, beautiful water rills, lots of things going on for youngsters, bike hire available from trundle bikes to adults. The historical grand house sadly is no longer standing but the history is mind blowing. The walled garden and greenhouse is fantastic and you can actually buy some of the produce at the entrance to the walled garden. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.”
“Spent a great family afternoon at Clumber Park. Took the dog and the grandchildren, walked 10K, then watched them all fall asleep in the car on the way home. Really beautiful sights and scenery, peaceful and quiet, great fun had by all. Even better, the cream tea at the visitor centre”
“Nice walk around the well maintained park, cafe on site with a play park for the little ones. Parking at the bottom of the hill to walk through the gardens is free ans has ample spaces and there is also a mini golf course on site. Toilets could do with cleaning more regularly but at least they're there!”
“Great little local park with an excellent cafe. Play stuff for kids. Pond for ducks etc. Play croquet or have a beer at Barringtons next door. There are events during summer and it has a very interesting history. Steam train passes by at the bottom. Whitworth Centre has all sorts of stuff and it also has a very interesting history. Blimey l sound like Steve Davies.”
“Great for walking the dog, letting kids run crazy, cafe, ice creams . What more could you ask for. An update to previous review. There are new paths in place to help those with disability or parents with prams. They have cleaned around tree feature too so you can take a rest if you like.”
“Hadn’t been for around 8/9 years and it’s had a huge transformation. Lots of cafes dotted around, updated signage. There was a farmers market on which had great vendors and nice food outlets. Rufford is a so beautiful and it’s been well enhanced”
“A lovely bike track for kids, a playground with a wet play area. What a lovely park.”
“Millhouse Park is a lovely spot for both relaxation and recreation. It’s perfect for a peaceful walk, with plenty of open space and greenery to enjoy. Families will especially appreciate the well-maintained children’s play area, which keeps little ones entertained for hours. The cafeteria with pond view with boat rides adds a charming touch. On top of that, the park offers a variety of playgrounds and sports areas, so there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re looking to unwind, spend quality time with family, or enjoy some outdoor activities, Millhouse Park is a great choice.”
“Great place, can be busy in the playground area but a lot more secluded and calm in the woodland part of it. They have a really great river and even have a lake to feed the ducks. In my opinion one of the best parks in sheff. They are even equipped with a nice cafe.”
“Small play area for kids. The cafe is spacious with lots of outdoor seating. Public toilets to the right of the cafe are generally clean. Good park and play area for kids and dog friendly”
“Great woodland with plenty of seating to enjoy the scenery and sounds of nature. Plenty of rough terrain so not suited to those who prefer smoother paths. Although there are some easier spots if you stay at the bottom. A lot of the best views are uphill though. Great place to explore, relax or have a picnic.”
“Brilliant relaxing place, especially with the fresh water”
“A lovely little park with tennis courts and childrens play area. This park is home to bishops house a Tudor hunting lodge now a museum with Tudor period rooms. There are also wonderful panoramic views of Sheffield from the top of the hill. It is great for sledging in winter thanks to it's steep hills.”
“Large park with free parking looking wonderful in Autumn.”
