“I am so happy I found this place as I'd never heard of them before until I googled for plants as I wanted to see what else was about out there apart from who I normally buy from & I came across The Watering Can who are absolutely brilliant. I placed an order from here on the 1st Feb & my plants arrived 24 hours later which was fantastic & they were very neatly packaged & tidy & organised in the box & the communication I received regarding a plant & the communication through the whole thing was brilliant. I also didn't know that this is a family run business run by sisters Lisa & Sarah who I have to say have been brilliant with me & they communicate with you & I think they're doing an amazing job & I will definetly be placing more orders with them in the future definitely & the fact that if you spend £50 you get free delivery & it comes the very next day which again is fantastic as I've spent over £100 plus sometimes on another site buying plants & never once have i had free delivery off this other site which when your spending a lot of money with a site & not just once then you would would think you might get free delivery or something but no but The Watering Can I can't fault them in anyway & Id recommend them to anybody & everybody I know. Thank you again to Lisa & Sarah because I love all the plants you sent & how fast they came so keep doing your amazing work & I'm looking forward to placing more orders with you in the future. I've potted a few up already in small pots until they grow a bit more & the others I'm going to pot up once I get some more pots. Many thanks again to Lisa & Sarah, Sal Traynor.”
“My lab cross was limping heavily and couldn't be walked when I first took him. Now he is back to himself. He loves to play and exercise. The girls have really been great with him.”
“Unfortunately couldn't spend as long here as would have liked. Understandably but without forethought closed part of this morning for remembrance day. Managed to wonder round inside afterwards and was guided expertly by 1 of the tour guides to the locations of the 2 people's graves/tombs/plots we we're looking for. Glad we went back after remembrance and most definitely worth the £5 each charity donation. The building itself is in excellent condition considering its 900 years of existence.”
“Amazing area to visit, tones of places to enjoy the pool, they have the cyclone water ride that we went on twice and the rapids which are epic. There is a nice poolside bar and a starbucks in a more tucked away quiet area to sit down and relax. They have lots of chairs to sit on at the edge, too, if swimming isn't for you. The showers are not the best. Those push button ones that go off all the time, but you get free shower gel, which is good. You also have to go through the changing rooms to get in and out of the place, no exit if you don't go through them which is very annoying. It's very hot and humid in the pool area.”
“Nice end to the busy weekend. Lovely stroll round the lake. Great place to take the dogs for a long walk somewhere new for them. Paths are great under foot and all litter free. There are plenty of dog poo bins so no need to leave it. Plenty of signage dotted around all with the what three words location, so if you do get into any trouble, the services will find you with ease. Paid parking but not a great amount.”
“A lovely open area. I was lucky with the weather, didn't try the food but I thought it was well priced. Fantastic place for dogs and children plenty of space and outdoor activities. Will be returning with my dog”
“Great for letting your dog off the lead in an controlled environment.”
“A nice area of Yarmouth to spend time in. The area has been rejuvenated and looks good now. Peaceful and well tended with near zero litter, some nice planting and lake area.”
“After spending 3 days in this place I can say it is amazing. I had a lot of fun. Plenty of places to have a quick snack or pizza. Starbucks coffee at the side of the pool. Plenty of places to sit and eat your own pack lunch if you prefer.”
“Lovely scenic and spacious park featuring lots of water, including streams and ponds. Wild horses run free, so handle your dogs accordingly. There are a few benches dotted around and some parking available for low height vehicles.”
“A fantastic glamping experience. We booking Sitting Sam for four nights for a midweek break and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The site is tranquil and peaceful with 7 other units also sharing the same areas. Our tipi came fully equipped with a double bed, dresser and bedside tables, lamp and power points. There was also a lovely little log burner for the colder nights however it was not needed in the first week of June ☀️ the decking for the Tipi had a wonderful wood fired hot tub, picnic bench and two comfortable wooden outdoor rocking chairs. A small kitchenette was to the back which was furnished with all the essentials, crockery and cutlery, a gas hob, grill and oven and running hot/cold water for washing up. A small fridge with icebox was perfect for keeping our drinks cold. Adjacent to the kitchen was a toilet and shower room with running hot/cold water. All towels were provided. We opted for a charcoal BBQ with all the charcoal and fire lights provided, and we enjoyed cooking our evening dinners atop hot coals. The wood fired hot tub took a couple of hours to heat up and was delightful for relaxing into the late evening with a glass of wine of Gin & Tonic. The site was very close to local facilities with two supermarkets easily reached in 10-minutes. Everyone we came across was friendly and helpful and huge thanks to Colleen for her prestay courtesy call and friendly helpful service throughout our stay. We loved our time at Swallow Park and will be back soon.”
“My hubby enjoyed his cappuccino and the brownie was delicious. Thank you for keeping my bag safe!”
“Amazing venue for our pop up choir And for children walking the dog for get food”
“We stayed in Lowestoft over Christmas and Nicholas Everitt Park was two minutes from where we stayed I visited this park every morning after breakfast for my daily exercise and walked the whole perimeter including Oulton Broad. I absolutely loved this place and the best part of it was the Wildlife which consisted of Swans Gulls ducks Squirrels lots of Songbirds Crows and Cormorants which were amazing to watch. The park is clean and beautiful to walk around its full of trees and right on the waters edge a real lovely pleasant and scenic place to spend some time. We found a little shop close by that sells bags of food for the birds and swans for £1 so we bought a lot and went every day to feed the birds which was highly amusing as it caused a frenzy as a race for the food became a daily habit. There’s lots of friendly little Robins in the park too who love to be fed we took mealworms and they came right up to my feet. People were friendly and Oulton Broad was really chilled and a nice place to walk around there’s a lovely cafe there and I look forward to returning as the wildlife was everywhere which is wonderful to see as it was incredibly peaceful and restful. ⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Fantastic facilities for the whole family. The park is extremely immaculate with plenty of space for football, rugby and frisbee. There is also an outdoor gym, slide and climbing frame equipment for kids of all ages.”
“It's pet friendly and one of my favourite places in Norwich. I find it calming with all the wildlife and birds chirping.”
“Its lovely, very peaceful. Its great for a stroll, lots of trees and plants, there's ponds and larger bodies of water, with ducks, swans etc. There's a boat ride available at extra cost. The cafe was nice, good value as was the shop, worth a visit.”
“A large outdoor space to walk dogs, picnic or just walk through to the UEA's woodland area, with a small carpark (also roadside parking near church) and a cafe (limited opening times, ring ahead to see if open)”
“Worth the visit and we'll worth the money. We arrived first thing on a Sunday and pretty much had the place to ourselves until lunchtime when people started trickling in. Our 2 year old managed to go on every ride except for 1. It's a great walk around with plenty of area to sit and chill and even have a picnic area. The outdoor play was a bit extreme for our 2 year old but they have a great indoor play for smaller children. Donuts and ice cream were smashing and fairly priced. We will definitely be visiting again with our half price entry voucher we received on the day for another great day.”
“Lovely day out with my 2 year old grandson and my daughter. Picked lots of blackberries. Picnic in the woods. So much to explore in the fresh air for children. And lovely to walk your dog. Free parking”
“Our first time visiting and we were not disappointed! Unfortunately a lot of the stalls were closed due to horrendous weather over the weekend, but it didn’t dampen the experience. The majority of the indoor stalls were still trading, and we had a browse and purchased a few lovely items. Will definitely be returning in the summer for the full experience!”
“We have started using the tennis courts here. The courts are excellent. By joining LTA and paying a small subscription of £50 it's cheaper to play instead of £3 per 30 minutes. Courts are regularly available weekdays.”
“4 hours free parking in this day and age, fantastic.”
“Clean well equipped caravan with clean towels and bedding provided. Central heating for chilly nights. Lots to do in area and close to Cromer while husband was fishing. Well maintained lakes. Friendly on site staff.”
“Thorpe park is a very good park. Plenty for the kids to do. There is a large field and small woodland walk for you and your dogs to enjoy, plenty of dog poo bins. As well as toilet facility's there is a small cafe which is open Tuesday & Thursday's 8 till 4 pm. Saturday & Sunday's 9 till 4pm. Also a recently built running track which circles the whole field and tennis courts. Very busy on Saturday and Sundays due to numerous football pitches.”
“A great place to see wetland birds. With 2 tides a day exposing the mud banks there are literally thousands of waders, grebes, egrets and ducks. I've even seen an osprey over the water in the past. Also wonderful skies with mystical light on some days.”
“We went as a 3 generation family group. Cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and family hot tub outside. Would have awarded a fifth star but for some issues with furniture. The whole site was beautiful and secure.”
“I have read both high and low star ratings with interest, as there is truth on both sides. Having lived opposite the park for nearly 30 years, I have witnessed the ups and downs of its history. It is true that many of the fixtures and landmarks fell into disrepair, mainly due to significant funding cuts. However, I am pleased to say that the local authority has since made considerable repairs and improvements to the park. It's also true that the park attracts a wide variety of wildlife, particularly seagulls, swans, ducks, and geese. On the downside, a large number of ducks and geese naturally leads to a substantial amount of droppings. Additionally, feeding the birds tends to attract a community of rats and mice, which I used to frequently see emerging from beneath the decking to grab leftover food. Fortunately, the decking has been replaced with a tarmac path, effectively eliminating a habitat for the rats. The park is a beautiful place to visit, especially during the summer with young children, allowing them to experience nature. It’s also an ideal spot to relax and enjoy the sunny weather. I visited the park today and noted the great efforts and improvements made by the council. Overall, I believe a score between 4 and 5 would be a fair rating.”
“Great day out. I have been coming here 30 years since I was a child I am now taking my children and to my delight it’s exactly the same as it was back then it’s so amazing to see such a Gem unchanged as the times move so fast. Only thing different was the price as to be expected. 10/10”
