Water park in Plymouth

“Had a great time watching grandchildren in the aqua park at North Devon Wake Park. They had a fabulous time and can't wait to go again. Aged 8 and 10 meant they could go in and we could watch whilst staying dry. It is as safe as possible and very well organised. Staff are helpful and professional. We enjoyed a bite to eat, lovely coffee whilst watched wake boarders doing their thing. We were able to take our labradoodle with us, which is great.”

“This is a beautiful viewpoint, serene and never crowded! The green fields and the gentle terrain makes the walk very picturesque with a few benches to sit and enjoy the sights! The estuary looks amazing from here and so does Salcombe! On a sunny day a bottle of water in hand might be helpful!”

“4 night stay here, the lodge was spotless, had everything we could possibly need. Nice flat walk to a beautiful beach. The pool was also perfect. And the owners couldn’t have done enough.”

“The Meadows is always a pleasure to visit. I probably walk around the park 5 or 6 times a week. A very special place, the river on one side, the canal on the other. A fantastic time of year to visit, flowers, cherry blossom and ducklings.”

“Great place for a walk around the lake. If you look closely you can spot all types of birds. It's a great place to bring the kids to engage in nature.”

“We took our four year old and were there all day without getting bored or fed up. We had a happy exhausted child after. Good outdoors wholesome fun, loads to do. Cafe is expensive but it’s worth it because the food is great and big portions. Sit inside during summer - the wasps aren’t shy. We loved it and will come back again.”

“Lots of green spaces. A duck pond with a duck food dispenser. Bumper boats for the kids. Also, a bouncy castle. Right on a dog friendly beach. A 2 minute walk to a Costa and ice cream shop. Plenty of parking too. A really lovely park to visit.”

“Must visit Jolly Jack's whilst your there. Good food, coffee and wine. We walk past the cricket grounds and arrive at the tower with spectacular views from Torpoint....the dividing river....Mount edgecombe...the sound....William Yard....the city and Devonport. 360 degrees of history of the city. Walk on down towards Mount wise pools on right and Richmond walk on left. Go kayaking, water boarding, sailing, swimming, dog walking, you willnlove it. Best bit of Plymouth in my oppinion”

“This little hidden green peace of peace and quite heaven hidden away in plymstock is a must visit with your other half, kids, dogs. Its a beautiful walk through woods along the rivers edge leading to green fields with a lake and estuary towards the far end, beautiful.”

“Seagulls jumping on the tables scoffing food because staff don't clear down tablets fast enough, it wasn't like it was busy. No access to beach from cafe. The lake and grass is well kept. Very tranquil area. Toilets by the carpark.”

“I came here a lot as a kid and now my kids enjoying the newly renovated play area. The park is well looked after. Great spot for tea or coffee too”

“Been swimming there every day now for a few weeks, the monthly fee is reasonable, and the staff are always helpful and friendly. Elle has been so helpful, I took my 2 year old granddaughter there today,and Elle provided us with a few floating toys,and made my granddaughters first swimming session a successful trip! Going back tomorrow.”

“Beautiful place to walk however it's quite steep in places so not great for unsteady feet.”

“What a great day out for adults and children. Admission in advance was £17 and a few pence per person and once inside the park food and drink was also very reasonably priced. Selection was burgers, fries, hot dogs ,wraps etc. There was a small selection of farm animals to feed and observe and a large indoor play area for if the weather doesn't cooperate. There was a card available on our visit that if you collected 6 stamps from the rides availability, a return visit after the school summer holidays is only £25 for upto 8 people. Overall a great day out and we are returning in September.”

“Great place for tots, teenagers and older folks. So much to do including 10 pin Bowling and Dogem Cars. Nicely stocked bar and restaurant selling basic meals.”

“Amazing fun. Been here twice over the past few years, a must do as the kids (and adults) enjoyed it very much. Animals, rides, walks and playground. Staff are very friendly and the veteran staff just know how to make the experience very lovely for the family. Plenty to do and food is surprisingly nice too even though they're the standard pizzas, chicken nuggets and strippers, wings etc. Well done Camel Creek and thanks again for a fab experience. Look forward to visiting again when back in the area.”

“Would never go anywhere else for my reptiles needs. Always great customer service, good range of items and some seriously beautiful animals in the shop too. When I go there for one thing im always wondering what my next reptile will be haha”

“west park chippy has been my family's chippy for over 30 years nd they never disappoint. the chips are always perfect, the sausage, fish and chicken nuggets cooked on point. their spicy spuds to die for. their ice creams are amazing and the thick shakes even better. the staff are always kind,polite and efficient and always get our orders on point. this is the best chippy!!”

“The park itself is really nice. There’s a beach right next to the park which is handy. The only beef I have is the roads into and out of the park, they are done of the narrowest I have been on and when you get 3 or 4 cars in a line coming the other way it can be difficult to navigate without scratching your motor. I think a one way system on the roads would be a better option making it safe for everyone.”
