Water park in Liverpool

“Amazing place!! First time I have been. The booking system is so easy and straight forward, the safety of the place is amazing! Going with two dogs, one that doesn't leave my side and the other that loves to run plus two children during summer holidays this place is a god send!! Both dog and children fully enjoyed!!”

“I visited the caravan site for 4 nights here in November. It is well maintained with a good clean amenity block. The site road where my pitch was had tarmac access roads. The pitch (30) was a good size. It was a serviced pitch slightly sloping which I corrected by using levelling ramp. The grass area next to to hardstanding was very muddy due to wormcasts no doubt due to the recent wet weather Tv reception was very good. I used my own wi fi although I understand paid wi fi is available. We were fortunate in that although out of season we were able to buy home made pizza, there was a limited menu but the choice of toppings was great. It was very handy for trips into Chester, Cheshire Oaks and Winsford for supermarkets. There are pub restaurants nearby one a ten minute walk on a footpath. We enjoyed our stay. The key question for me is "Would we stay here again?" and reply is "Without hesitation"”

“Really beautiful cathedral and absolutely huge; you can see it from loads of places around the city. We just popped in for a look and ended up staying longer than expected. Inside was really peaceful, the windows incredible, and the whole place felt impressive. Got student tickets for £6; good deal. Staff were friendly and there’s a café and little shop if you fancy a drink or a souvenir. If you go up the tower you get an amazing view over Liverpool, especially on a clear day. Definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby”

“Popular for overnight fishing with locaks and a great place to walk and exercise. The people are very friendly, beautiful and relaxing. Great for dog walks. Popular with joggers and people of all ages. Safe and enjoyable atmosphere. Even in poor weather this local is usually well used.”

“My sister recommended me here once I got my first puppy, we’ve been here twice already and going again today! It’s perfect for recall training, agility training, exercise and doggy meet ups! It’s perfect if you are worried about taking your dog off the lead as it’s fully private, fully secure and so spacious! It’s so so cheap I really couldn’t recommend anywhere else! X”

“Came here today for the inflatables with 8 13 year olds. They had a blast!!! Lots of fun and laughter. It wasn’t that clear what we had to do initially, told to wait in the cafe as the chaining room was full. Then when they went to change were sent out. No real direction until Chris came to our rescue. He’s the only one fully switched on and this made all the difference to our visit. Thank you Chris you were brilliant, very much appreciated.”

“Attended a Rugby Christmas Party here on Friday 19th, the staff were extremely polite and friendly. The room was tasteful decorated and well set out. The food provided was delicious. Would recommend this venue for events 100%! Merry Christmas and thanks again, the Typhoons had a glorious evening. Best wishes for 2026.”

“Great place to walk your dog, only small area around the visitors centre where dogs are required to be on lead. Lots of spots for safe water play if that’s what your dog is in to. Walk up to the castle under a canopy of trees.”

“Great place for a nice walk out along this cliff or the beach is safe. The cafe has Toilets and Is a good price, also has a kids area inside. The beach is Dog Friendly.”

“Well worth a visit. We love coming to the park for a picnic and a walk. Great cafes, bookshop, playground, walks in the grounds, duck pond, icecream shop and of course the Neolithic Calderstones. The Mansion has great info about the history of the park too.”

“Excellent place for picnicking and sightseeing with wide and protected space for the large number of tourists to move around and enjoy the spectacular sceneries of the waterfront. Highly recommended for therapeutic purposes.”

“Beautiful park and plenty of spaces. Beautiful greens plenty of trees cafe parking glass house palm. Lakes little.secret nooks plenty of walk ways. Easy access. Busy section or quiet. Gorgeous place”

“Great place to take the kids and it costs nothing play areas for all ages. You can actually buy food from a machine for £1 to feed the ducks but watch out for the pigeons there is a small wooded area where the squirrels will come and eat from your hand. The cafe is very reasonably priced and is dog friendly”

“Great dun for whole family. Open spaces, river bank, beautiful waterfall. Few places to park £1 for whole day of parking. Different trails to use for walking”

“A wonderful location to take kids to play, cafe and base for long walks through along a winding river with steep limestone cliff. There are ruins of mine workings. Car park decent size but you need to pay.”

“Nice place to walk around. Loads of places to eat around the dock and plenty of car parking, but it was busy when we went on a weekday. Public toilets available as well”

“Amazing dog park, best one we've been to. The dogs had a field day :D Even the kids enjoyed it (dog-walking is usually pretty far down the list of favoured activities). The whole area was super secure, remarkably clean and tidy and with plenty of well-placed poo-bins and water bowls. It was especially good being able to drive in through the gate to unload/load as it can be tricky getting multiple dogs in and out safely. The setting is beautiful and it was very peaceful and quiet when we were there on a Sunday afternoon. Everything was very well thought out and set-up. The splash and dash field included an agility area, picnic tables, benches, etc. The pond / swimming area was fabulous and loved by our Leonberger and Labrador, especially. We'll definitely be back!”

“A lovely placed campsite with great staff. Very easy to check in and had no issues. The only small issue is the lack of temperature regulation, we struggled with the heat of the showers (Mainly as it was 32 degrees out) would be nice if you had a form of heat adjustment. Brilliant site, quiet and generous pitches”

“Took our 5yo here for a friend's birthday party. Staff were welcoming and lovely, facilities were well managed, clean and in great condition. Large screen for entertainment plus large on-site cafe serving freshly cooked food and drinks. All in all a fantastic place to visit with young children.”

“Had a lovely walk with our dogs, lots of space for them to run. Good paths for the wheelchair and also tracks through the woods. Used by parents with small children and buggies, walkers, cyclists and dog walkers.”

“Really great area for walks, runs, or walking the dog. It has a perfect balance between accessible walkways and nature. Able to claim the summit to get great views from up high, but even without hiking to the top, simply walking alongside the river Mersey allows a beautiful view of the Liverpool skyline. Famous landmarks are visible such as the Cathedral and the Liver building. To the side of the park is a small beach area.”

“Very nice historic area. The abbey ruins are impressive and you can walk into them and around them and it’s dog friendly. There’s a shop with more information but was closed when we went, possibly over the winter. There’s a walk down pilgrims way from there that is really nice. Dogs need to be on a lead. There’s some old mills along the way which are a great site. There’s a free car park nearby as well.”

“Great experience for younger children. The kids first roller coaster and dingy down a slide - they both loved these two rides. My 7 year old was more entertained than my 9 year old on some of the other climbing activities but the two speedy rides mentioned above made this a great day out.”

“Absolutely adore living so close to such a beautiful place Crosby Coastal Path is breathtaking stunning. It is dog friendly. Great sturdy path for walkers and cyclists. There is a pay and display ticket system for the car park. There are plenty of spaces. Often there's refreshments vans too, selling tasty toasties and hot drinks. You'll always find an ice cream van there, too. Both are very friendly, offering great choices or either hot or cold foods, drinks and ice cream. Beautiful views across the River to Wirral and North Wales Well, it's worth a visit, especially on a sunny day, and stay for the evening sunsets. One of our favourite places to visit for a gorgeous walk with the family!”

“One of my favourite parks on the Wirral. Plenty of paths to walk along. There are many wide open spaces to sit on the grass, spend good time under a tree. It's got some small lakes with ducks and some swans. Saturday morning it's Parkrun, always a good turnout”

“Lovely small park with bandstand, cafe, seating and public toilets. There was slso a pirate art installation there and a miniature cottage for children to play in, complete with a tea set. Absolutely stunning.”
