“A wonderful hidden gem - so peaceful and lovely to meander across the little islands. The walk up the hill to the nursery and farm shop cafe is also well worth it. Just lovely.”
“Beautiful place to go loads of open spaces for people to walk and cycle. Large areas for children play. Beautiful river at brockenhurst where you can often see horses and foals, cattle and sometimes donkeys and pigs.”
“Easy to find and well sign posted once you enter the farm. I visited today, hot and dry, but water and bench available in shade. Only critique is that the gate needs lifting to close into latch, but I imagine that’s easily fixed.”
“If you are on the IOW this is a fab way to spend a few hours getting wet and shattered! The water is in great condition, as is the surrounding water area. The nicest one of these ive seen. They have loads of equipment as well, for all shapes and sizes, loads of other things right beside to entertain other family members as well.”
“We booked a two hour sailing session for my husband and my best friend's little girl - as her Christmas present - and it was absolutely brilliant. I've never seen her beam so widely seeing her get off the boat after an amazing session. The instructor was brilliant and both of them were pumped with adrenaline afterwards chatting about everything they'd learned. Highly recommend.”
“This is right on our doorstep and is a lovely walk any time of year. I love taking my baby daughter out for a walk along the riverbank to look at the ducks. If you are lucky you can see deer, dab chicks and a cormorant.”
“This is a large area of managed wetlands with drainage channels throughout. There is a single path, fenced off from the meadows that joins Salisbury centre to Harnham Mill. There are some good but distant views of the cathedral, and a few signs referring to Constable, who may have painted neer here.”
“Great place for the kids. Went with a toddler and plenty to do and enjoy. Was very clean and everything looked extremely well kept. Animals were happy, selection of animals inside and out. Inside and outside play areas so would be good in all weathers. Didn’t go in the soft play as the weather was lovely but this also looked great. We went in March so was quiet and brilliant that we got to use everything without any waits. Meant we didn’t have to book either but it is slightly cheaper buying online, £1. Also very good that there were no extra charges for some of the play equipment unlike some park farms. Shop and cafe and plenty of parking.”
“Quite an experience for an old duffer like me! The staff and instructors were magnificent throughout, stepping in to help out my granddaughter when she was a bit scared on the last level and encouraging her to complete it. I never managed a dignified “landing” at the end of the zip wire runs, but great fun nevertheless.”
“Awesome experience, took 2 family's with us to paultons and rode the most exquisite roller coasters. It was a bit sad that Cobra and the edge were closed but hopefully on our next trip they will be back or even a new ride. The thrill of storm chaser and the cylonator was amazing and the food was fabulous!”
“Great place lots to see dogs love the walk but it does get busy”
“The park is truly exceptional, offering a plethora of activities that cater to all interests, provided the weather cooperates. Whether it's exploring the farm, cycling, swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, or simply taking a leisurely walk—there's something here for everyone. Pet owners will appreciate the dog-friendly paths, and families can enjoy a perfect day out with their children. The landscape is breathtaking, especially where the woods meet the river, creating a stunning backdrop for any activity. You can easily spend a couple of hours exploring without covering the same ground twice. The park includes a beach specifically for paddle boarding and kayaking. I've uploaded the pricing details and booking information in my pictures for convenience. The paths are well-maintained, making it a pleasure to walk, and you can even treat yourself to an ice cream halfway through your stroll. Additionally, there's ample parking available along the main road, adding to the convenience."”
“Amazing place to relax and have a walk. Plenty of green space and a beautiful lake with good views”
“Lovely park over looking Southampton water, lots to do for family's, large areas to have picnics, a lovely woodland walk too, well worth visiting in the spring when there are bluebells on show. Lovely area where there's a tea room too”
“We rented a bbq pitch a few times now. Always a great day, bbq always clean and a beautiful walk with the dogs to the river. See you again next summer!”
“What a beautiful place to stay or have a picnic or just to cycle/walk through. Beautiful lakes and cute ducklings. Some adult ones may be aggressive and bite if you go too close.”
“Lived in Southampton all of my life and I've never had a chance to see it from this perspective. Beautiful”
“Southampton Water View Point is an absolute must-visit for anyone who loves stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. This spot offers an incredible panoramic view of Southampton Water, where you can watch ships and ferries glide by. It's especially beautiful at sunset, with the sky reflecting off the water—truly breathtaking. The area is well-maintained, with plenty of benches to sit and take in the scenery. It’s a great spot for photographers, nature lovers, or anyone looking for a quiet place to relax. The walkways are clean, and there’s ample space for a leisurely stroll along the waterfront. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Southampton, this viewpoint is a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Highly recommended for a peaceful retreat with a view!”
“Great place to walk the dogs plenty of benches and dog bins a plus as it's a struggle to find them in the new forest.”
“Extremely clean well maintained facilities with accommodating helpful staff. Very peaceful and safe with a lovely restaurant at the marina.”
“East Park, also known as Andrews Park, is one of Southampton's most beloved green spaces, offering a tranquil retreat in the heart of the city. Established in the 19th century, the park is part of the "Central Parks" network, a series of interconnected parks that provide a lush, green corridor through Southampton's urban landscape. East Park is characterized by its well-maintained lawns, vibrant flowerbeds, and mature trees, creating a picturesque setting for relaxation and recreation. The park is home to several notable features, including the Titanic Engineers' Memorial, which honours the engineers who lost their lives on the RMS Titanic. With its blend of historical significance and natural beauty, East Park serves as both a community gathering place and a reminder of Southampton's rich maritime heritage.”
“A nice place to have a long stroll or even as a picnic with the family. There is a play area for the kids and toilets are close by. There is loads of space for parking and a cafe if you haven’t brought any food.”
“This is a lovely park along the Solent. There is the beach (shingle), a sensory garden, paths through the woods, and a café (very clean, small shop). There is a car park (administered by Hampshire County Council = expensive)”
“We love this park! Great for smaller and older children (and there's a great little cafe with refreshments for the adults!) Spacious and fun, my three year old is becoming more adventurous and wanting to climb the bigger frames/slides! Plenty of benches and seating around. With the other activities on offer, (such as basketball hoops, tennis courts, climbing wall etc), you could easily spend a whole afternoon here!”
“Used to live 10 mins from park and was always here, not visited in over 6 years. Met here for pride with work. Beautiful well kept park”
“This is a great place to walk, the views from near the horse monument are great, you can see the cranes away at Southampton and on a good day the type 42? On the top of Portsdown Hill. There are a lot of car parks so if one is busy drive down the road to the next one. The car parks are free, well done, to I think Winchester council, so many councils want to take so much in fees for parking instead of realising these open spaces are needed for relaxation by us all. The car parks are a bit tight for larger motorhomes but OK for camper vans, the roads are country lanes so a big vehicle will need to be careful. Great place to visit with great views all around.”
“Great doggie walk ,safe area , good park for the kids to play as well..”
“Such a fabulous place to take the children. From gentle rides, lovely walks through gardens, to the spash play area & the faster rides. The Lost Kingdom is a brilliant Dinosaur themed area, home of possibly the best ride on site. There are plenty of places to grab a drink, an ice cream or a hot dog & fries. Peppa Pig World is great for small children, with a wonderful selection of rides to make them happy. They'll also be able to meet there favourite characters from the Peppa Pig show. A very good day out for young & old alike.”
“What a place!!! Have used the inflatable park many times, the teenage kids love it, young kids, young adults and even us oldies (brings out some youth in us I guess) I also use the wake park regularly. 5 point cable in a ring so can get 6 people on at any one time. Not always the case and you can ask for gaps if suitable. They also do slow sessions for beginners. But even on a busy session you'll get so much time on the water you'll be wiped out... That is either you'll be knackered or actually have wiped out on one of the many awesome features! Kit hire available. Cafe on site with real nice fresh pizza oven food and a bar up the top for post activity chill out time. Can't comment on camping though as I haven't used that facility. The owners are awesome people who will be there most days. The staff are well trained, friendly and super knowledgeable so if you're needing the next step for boarding, just ask them and they will help. Other activities like kayaking and SUP are also available.”
“Amazing place perfect for kids!”
