    The Brickworks Museum

    ★★★★☆ 4.6

“Lovely museum. Really makes you consider something we all take for granted, the humble brick and the history surrounding it's production and the lives of the people that made it. We came on a none steam day and the museum was quiet. Signage is very informative and easy for children to access. The cafe does good food for a fair price. We had some nice bacon baps. They have an old arcade section with fun old games which are good fun. The children's trail allows them to have one free go on the machines and my two managed to win some sweets which made them very happy. This is an absolute museum is a must for anyone interested in the industrial revolution and/or engineering.”

    On Foot Holidays

“We booked a multi day Yorkshire Dales trip with On Foot and it exceeded our expectations. The On Foot team was very responsive, helpful and always answered my, albeit many, questions. I am so appreciative of their attention to detail. They provided detailed guides for the walk including gps tracks and those made us feel more comfortable and safe. The local contact, Shaun, was also very helpful and kind, checking in with us each day to see how we were doing, encourage and provide tips. They also booked table reservations for us at great restaurants and we were happy to have these as some places were fully booked. We are already thinking about our next trip with On Foot!”

“This booking was made through Booking.com, however I wish it was made directly through Dorset Cottage Holidays. The day of checking I had called to confirm if it was self check in as I didn't receive any instructions. The email was sent from Booking.com stating a PIN code which I thought was the key safe. However when we got to the property we couldn't get in due to having incorrect key safe code. I was with 2 little children and despite calling Booking.com they weren't able to help us. Then they cancelled the booking & asked us to find another place, it was around 10pm then. My children were tired and hungry and it wasn't pleasant. However we managed to get through to Blake who was managing the property who provided us the correct code and we managed to get in. Then tried to notify Booking.com by then they told us they had taken another booking for following day. Which was more stressful considering there was 10 of us. Once again Blake reassured that he would sort it for us, which he did and I'm so thankful. The property was beautiful and spacious and if anyone is looking to get away to have some much needed rest, I would highly recommend you stay there. Perfect for families. This all happened on my birthday but thank you Blake for sorting the booking for us.”

“This family run restaurant is a real hidden gem in Southampton. The chef and staff are amazing and extremely friendly, which means that the service is definitely world class. The food (pizza) is absolutely delicious and I’m sure it was the best pizza I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend this restaurant from whatever occasion.”

    Eling Tide Mill Experience

    ★★★★☆ 4.5

“Lucky to have beautiful weather; perfect short walk if you have young ones and a buggy! Parked in the Ealing car park which is free (toll Bridge is only £1) and then walked all the way round the mill pond and over Bartley water. Ended at the cafe - the ladies in here were so lovely! Food was simple but tasty and just what we needed (I have a 6yr old and a 21 month old). Then walked to Goatee beach and played there for a while. Lovely day out with the family”

    Brunch & Barista

    ★★★★☆ 4.4

“First time I ate here, I had eggs royale and requested no sauce (which was great that they didn’t put the sauce on). The first egg was perfect, unfortunately the 2nd egg was too runny. I was happy for just the one egg to be replaced, but they replaced it all! I have since had a cooked breakfast and my first ever French toast. Oh my goodness - it was amazing! This will now be my go to for French Toast. Lovely, thank you.”

    The Grange at Northington

    ★★★★☆ 4.4
    Closed

“Awesome architecture & loads of history behind the Northington Grange. If you're in the area it's definitely worth the visit, we walked around the outside close to the building & then again on the grass away from the building to admire all the architectural work. Heaps of room for a picnic and room to play soccer and other games. The building is starting to deteriorate & needs some needs good upkeep & definitely a pressure washer and this place will be better than ever. Signs around the property with information about the history about the Northington Grange, who the owners where, architectures etc. The most annoying thing is the drive from the main road to the property, there are heaps of potholes along the dirt road. Read more at Raif & Vy Travel Blog.”

“Wonderful time here. My kids aged 10 and 8 absolutely loved it. So much to look at and get stuck into. They particularly liked the space section downstairs. The show is worth the extra £4 . Exciting and educational for everyone and has the wow factor. Car park is free which is really good, felt the tickets were a little on the high side but still enjoyed the experience and would visit again”
