    The Royal Navy Submarine Museum

    ★★★★☆ 4.7
    Closed

“Really interesting museum, have to admit didn't spend too long in the main museum, most of the visit was concentrated on HMS Holland, amazed a submarine this old has survived, houses in a brilliant gallery. HMS Alliance, was really great to look around, there aren't many places you can go on board and explore a 1940's submarine, bit cramped, but well worth it and the submariner on board was really helpful with questions. If you are visiting the dockyard, well worth popping over and having a look around.”

    D-Day Museum

    ★★★★☆ 4.7
    Open

“This museum hosts a number of great relics. Between the last remaining LCT to the Grizzly Sherman and the Crocodile Churchill tank ready to go in her well deck to a unusual tank recovery vehicle Sherman and a DUWK this museum packs a lot of punch for its size. A great start for a commemorative WWII tour for the battle sites across Europe.”

    D day museum café

“Popped in here today with a friend for a late afternoon coffee and we sat outside in the sunshine on fresh new tables. The cafe has apparently been under new management for a few months now and what a difference- the staff were friendly and pleasant, the cake choice looked delicious and our scones with jam and cream were a lovely treat. Coffee great too. We will be back!”

    Portchester Castle

    ★★★★☆ 4.6
    Closed

“A boyhood dream to visit here, as an original Roman foreshore castle it was on my list. We couldn't go in the church as a wedding was taking place, however we walked around the graves and found a gentleman and his family all buried together, he was an artist and a member of the Royal academy and I was able to find him on Google search and read his life which made finding his grave even sadder and a bit personal. Car parking is easy with welcome toilets in the car park.”

    The Briny

    ★★★★☆ 4.5
    Closed

“I've been going to The Briny for their £1 Oyster Night for years, and it never disappoints! The service is top-notch - the staff make you feel like you're at home, always attentive and friendly. The food, of course, is the star of the show, with succulent oysters and impeccable quality that's always consistent. It's more than just a meal, it's an experience that leaves you feeling happy and wanting to come back for more. If you haven't tried it, trust me, you need to get there! Five stars isn't enough - I'd give it ten stars if I could!”

“I have been waiting to visit here for agessssssssss. Now it's open I have finally had a chance. The house is lovely, but it doesn't have much in the way of grounds to wander. Beautiful setting, but not the place if you want a long ramble walk. Will be great once cafe is open !”

“Went out for dinner and found wildwood tucked away In the corner. The restaurant looked amazing, the staff were all very friendly and plenty of free parking. The food itself was amazing and wholesome. Would recommend the philly cheese steak and cheese cake. The menu caters for the hungry and the peckish. I would say pop in when you are around”
