“A lovely campsite that is clean and has a well stocked camp shop. Location is perfect for cyclists and walkers. At a leisurely ride along the Salterns Way to West Wittering Beach is about 22 minutes. We have been to this site twice and will be back again.”

“Love this park. Nice size and plenty of space, grasses areas, lovely little lake and plenty of woodlands and walkways. Plenty of birds so bring your binoculars or camera and Bird food for the lake. They have a cafe and information centre and benches available in places to sit and enjoy. Paid car park available and walkway available to walk through the to a herb and greens outdoor shop and to Staunton Farm. Highly recommend a visit to this beautiful place”

“Staff are lovely and friendly. We could choose our pitch. The pitch was of good size. All though it was school holidays, the site was quiet. The facilities were very clean. We will return to this site”

“Fantastic site. We have been using for a few years now. Camping pitches great size. Statics are very comfy. Onsite pub and restaurant are great. All staff are very friendly and entertainment is brilliant. It’s a good base for exploring the island. If your there cowes week there is a fantastic BBQ and firework display on final day. If you’re lucky enough you may even spot one of the resident red squirrels.”

“The Splash park is Good for younger kids in the school holidays, busy in Summer easy for Parents to keep watch over the children, Large pay to park area with 2 Electric Vehicle Charging Stations, (Type2) And all just a few feet from the beach and a short walk (5 minutes) to the High street & shops.”

“A beautiful park, they really look after it. Train rides, brilliant cafe, excellent food. Massive 18-hole crazy golf course. Wildlife everywhere.boating lake. Some wild life trails visit every year when at butlins. They should have in every town. The place is buzzing with people, which is a great place to socialise.cafe food is excellent, high in price, but your paying for quality.”

“Just the one night and we rolled up on the day. Welcomed with a smile. Good value. Nice pitch , chosen with the wind in mind. Another smiling warden helped us onto the pitch. Cannot fault the friendly wardens. The facility blocks are a little old but clean and functional. A short stay this time, but we’ll be back to enjoy the island another time.”

“A fantastic park with beautiful specimen trees and informative signage about the park history. The aviary, giant rabbits and pond are a must see. There is also a great children's play area thoughtfully designed to fit in with the natural surroundings. All the park is beautifully maintained and provides a tranquil spot to wander or rest. The café in the park is a must visit.”

“If you're after a fantastic spot to stretch your legs (and maybe your dog's too!), you really can't go wrong with Alver Valley Country Park. Honestly, it's a bit of a hidden gem around here. There are loads and loads of trails winding all over the place, so you can have a proper wander and explore different routes each time you go. It's brilliant for dog walkers – plenty of space for them to have a good run around. They've also got a really nice area set up for kids, which is always a bonus if you've got little ones in tow. And get this, it's super handy because it's right near a garden centre, so you could easily combine a nice walk with a bit of plant shopping! The only slightly funny thing – and maybe something to bear in mind – is that there aren't any public toilets for humans in the park itself. So, just a little heads-up on that front! But honestly, that's a minor thing in the grand scheme of things. For a lovely outdoor space with great walking and a nice vibe, Alver Valley Country Park is definitely worth checking out.”

“I’d say if you’re not a big fan of the whole “beach vibe” then this is 100% the next best thing personally I even prefer it having all the best perks a beach could have! And on the right days you might even have this whole “beach” to yourself!”

“My kids love this park. It has the usual swings and slides but also rarer rides such as a zip line swing, large rope structures to climb, and many more, making it the best park in Pomey. There's a bike track area with hills and dips, a very large playing field, a basketball court, and it's a fantastic place for walking the dog.”

“A useful car park to access Cams Lake and exploring the upper reaches of Fareham Lake. It has no height restriction so useable with roof rack. Launching and recovery of kayaks and boards should be restricted to more than 2m of tide as the mud flats are a bird feeding area.”

“They are building here at the moment, and the park is always closed by 19:00 so at least there are no muggers but I'd like it to be open late with no muggers as well, but we can't have a cake and eat it now can we.”

“The new seats are brilliant! Reclining seats for about £10. Far more comfortable especially on the long films. The toilets still need work but it's one of the best cinemas around. We drive there rather than use our local as its a lot cheaper, sound quality is better and where else can you watch a film and then check out super yachts?”
