I ordered the avocado toast with poached eggs and was disappointed to find that it didn’t have fresh avocado. Instead, it came with a processed avocado purée that didn’t taste like real avocado and made the bread soggy.

Read the reviews so went for a light lunch bite. Really wish I hadn't bothered. Very, Very poor food. First, a toasted cheese and onion sandwich. Weak tasting cheese, not melted, no onion taste and, well, just barely toasted. Poor. Second, a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. Even worse. Again not toasted, rubbish cheese, not melted, hardly any ham, and finally, well, enough poor quality whole grain mustard to pass muster as a ( non toasted ) mustard sandwich (clock the mustard photo) . As that was all it tated like. Add two bags of crisps, a chilled coffee and a bag of sweets £21.15. Maybe this was because it was Saturday 1pm with only two people serving - but inexcusable. Shocking!

Nice to find a cafe that is a little different to the generic modern norm. Comfy seats, chandeliers, fresh flowers, lots of space between tables.

Really good breakfast, especially for £7.50. Good quality ingredients, sourdough toast was great, personally I'd prefer the tomatoes to have a bit more of a grilling. Service was quick and coffee was decent

Beautiful trendy cafe and an amazing throwback to the good ol cliff Richard esque tunes combined with great customer service makes this is a must visit when in Southampton. The soup was tasty and flavourful with an amazing consistency. We got the bruschetta without the egg but still was extremely well made.

It’s one of my favourite places for breakfast but the only problem is when they are busy always miss part of your order but when you tell them they give you.

The menu is quite small but the fish finger sandwiches were lovely, along with my iced coffee (made with actual ice cream!). They also have grab and go food and the largest sausage rolls I've ever seen.
