Great place to walk the dogs plenty of benches and dog bins a plus as it's a struggle to find them in the new forest.

Really beautiful. Had many a nice walks here. Great for kids too they can feed the ducks and follow the little fairy door trail. Lots of unusual plants can be found along the way and in the summer the lake is teaming with pond life. But don't forget wellies when it is cold or wet as it gets very muddy.

Sitting by the lake is very restful and a chance to enjoy nature. Haven't walked all round yet but intend to. Its nice to see the ducks etc in a quiet area but still close enough to town to pick up a takeaway coffee (there are bins by the lake and plenty of benches or picnic tables).

Lovely area, well maintained for wildlife. Leads into ancient woodland, some coppiced. Plenty of paths and loads of bluebells in spring. Lots of birdlife too. Just lovey and peaceful.

Our 'Walking for Health' group meets here every Monday morning for a walk round the lake into the wood and into the Butterfly Meadow. Lovely peaceful walk accessible for wheelchairs and walkers -watch out for tree roots! Could be tidier - some visitors leave rubbish behind and some dog walkers are careless about clearing up after their pets. Still a nice walk though despite this. Bit muddy this time of year but a great place to come and feed the ducks before setting off through the woods to the Meadow
