“Good park for families. A good fishing lake. Often cycle around the park and reservoir. It's a nice part of Runcorn. There's nice nature, and you can access the canal from the park. I'm a bit old for the skate park and climbing frames, but they seem popular. I don't fish, but I often see people I know there. The cafe at the park doesn't seem to he open anymore, which is a shame.”
“Lovely little walk around this park. Minute walk to Newton train station, petrol station and all local bars and restaurants. Area keot clean, lovely lake and great for fishing. Children's play area.”
“Beautiful park well manicured. Very neat to see kids using it to its fullest.”
“It's a good urban park located a short walk from the town centre. Large free car park. Excellent play area for the kids. A nice pond with seating. There's also a BMX area, football pitches & a bowling green. I'm not sure what the opening times are but there's a veg, flower, fruit garden selling produce. Theatre Porto is located right in the middle of the park. It has a reasonably priced cafe. It's a nice place to stroll or walk your dog.”
“Great playground with water splash area on the river. Picnic tables and benches. Plenty of areas for sun and shade. Good clean toilets. Clever duck feed dispensing machine to feed ducks. Well worth a visit.”
“Amazing place for either a relaxing walk in nature or to learn about history in the huge Roman fort. Staff are lovely and so friendly. Amazing work being done here a must see.”
“We had a brilliant pre christmas break. We staying in our campervan on a hot tub pitch and can't wait to return. The hot tub was really clean as were all the facilities. The reataurant/cafe was warm and food great. All staff were really friendly and helpful.”
“Great place to take the kids as there are swings nearby. A good place to walk your dog or if you just want to relax then visit the rose gardens.”
“The food is gorgeous, just be aware it's cash only. No cards or contactless.”

“A fairly new(ish) woodland by the looks of it and will be a great place for in the spring and summer when less muddy. An abundance of birds and water foul make it a joy and there are plenty of paths to wander around. Also good, and free, car park though may fill up easily during times of better weather”
“Easy to pay, good value and good location! Would use again.”
“We love this place, close to the beach, great site with great, always immaculate facilities. The team are always friendly and helpful. My absolute go-to place.”
“Had a great experience at Nando’s! Charlotte was absolutely lovely – very polite, attentive, and looked after us so well, even though we had a couple of noisy toddlers in tow. Not always easy catering to a young family, but she handled it with a smile. Great service and tasty food as always!”
“I often come here with my fantastic client who loves bowling and the staff are amazing and friendly and always very helpful for your unique requirements for any bowling or going on the arcades plus they also have an amazing pool table for those who just want a friendly came of pool”
“Seems to be a bit better and cleaner then I remember from my youth.”

“Myself and my partner stayed here the middle of September 2025. We adore Wales and like to explore so only need a base as we’re out all day. I came across their ‘Saver’ caravans which are just basic caravans which is all we needed for somewhere to sleep and have breakfast in the morning. It was £49 for 4 nights which is the price of one night in a cheap B&B. I’ve been coming to North Wales for all my life and I’m in my 50s now so know the place pretty well , it’s my favourite place to be. However I’d never stayed at this particular site on Presthaven Beach Resort and to with a budget caravan I wasn’t sure what to expect. Well it was not a case of you get what you pay for, it was absolutely beautiful. Yea the caravan was basic but I don’t know if you could call it basic. It was clean, tidy and had everything you’d need. Cooker, fridge, microwave etc and there was even a little welcome package with two mugs set out with a spoon in each next to the kettle. Now that might not seem much to some but for me it’s those little touches that make all the difference. ( thank you guys and never stop doing this) I’ve stayed in a lot more expensive places and not got that. It was so easy to book and the staff were so efficient at check in. We had fresh pillows and a duvet delivered within minutes of arriving and then you’re just left to enjoy your holiday. The site is absolutely beautiful too and to be honest, I’d go back and probably stay on the site more. We’d already planned our days tracking the coasts and mountains but we were really impressed with how nice the actual site was. It was like a little community with all anyone would need. And to top it off, we were right next to the sand dunes and beach with a beautiful wetland between. Take a torch and see the wildlife at night, it was gorgeous. Our caravan was right near the mini market and all the amenities and we even had a view of the hills over the road which looked awesome at night with all the little lights on. We’re already planning on returning next year without a doubt. We still can’t believe we only paid £49 for 4 nights. It really shows that you sometimes get way more than you paid for. Possibly one of the best holidays I’ve had at any price but just shy of 50 quid, I mean come on, it doesn’t get much better than that. Such a beautiful place that I feel will now be our place we stay on our annual Welsh adventures. I can’t believe I’ve never stayed here before. I’d 100% recommend this place to anyone and there’s loads to do for families with kids but also it could be a relaxing holiday for those who just want to chill out. Thank you guys for an amazing four nights, I will never get over how cheap it was yet how beautiful the place is and the surrounding areas. A massive 10/10 from us and we will definitely be back next year. We’re so impressed.”
“Pizza was great, delicious, and staff were very kind! :)”
“Didn't eat here but can't fault the service and friendliness of staff. Always a warm welcome and accommodating to children and dogs.”
“The swimming pools are great. 20m & 50m pools. Lockers, changing room & bath areas are all in good condition. Remember to take a 20p coin to use the lockers which you can take back at the end. Large parking area and is free.”
“Best park I know in Liverpool for pick up basketball games or 5 a side football. Court is a full cage with head height walls so you're not hunting the ball all the time. Near some trees so it's a little bit cooler in the Summer. There should be more little parks like this. Just need to add a bin near the cage or something as there can be lots of bottles on the floor and whilst it might not stop the addicts dropping glass bottles it would allow the kids somewhere to put their rubbish”
“Stayed in Pod Number 2 at Oakwood Farm Chester. Immaculate, spotless, and beautifully presented. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and the hot tub was the absolute highlight! The only minor downside was checkout: listed as 11 am, but we were asked to leave by 10 am with no late checkout option. Other than that, a fantastic stay and would happily return! Definitely recommend :)”
“22/10/24 went with my toddler granddaughter been here a few times over the last year always here when i was a kid am 51 now i went to the 3:30- 6:30 the water warm .changing rooms warm an clean . plenty of staff so kind. helpful and down to earth . the pool only had a few people in but we got to enjoy a gala of some sort on the other side of the pool it look like tickle pink event men and women”
“Never been here before and had a great experience, service was fabulous, the waiter and waitresses were very attentive and friendly. Food came out to us quickly, hot and there was a great selection of what to eat. Food was lovely and can’t recommend enough!”
“Our favourite place to meet up regularly with friends for lunch.Great value Always helpful and plenty of seating. Dog friendly with a dog menu (proper cooked food for dogs at good price unlike another place where I paid twice as much for just perfectly packaged dog treats)”
“Wish I was younger I would have loved it”
“Lovely walk, especially of an evening, good to see the sun set”
“The dock was designed by Henry Berry and opened in 1785. It was named after Queen Charlotte, consort of George III, and was later expanded by John Foster Sr. At its largest, the dock consisted of a main basin and two branch docks, separated by a graving dock. Branch Dock Number 2 (to the north) has since been filled in and is used as a car park. The graving dock currently houses The Keel, an apartment building formerly housing HM Revenue and Customs. This and other docks in the southern system were owned by British Waterways, which was transferred to the Canal & River Trust in 2012.”
