“Well kept, lovely and spacious park. Lots of events, clearly excellent ranger team. Café food is basic but nice enough for a quick pit stop, the prices are very affordable, cafe staff are lovely and efficient. Definitely recommend visiting here. The only negative is that on event days the toilets by the cafe are not cleaned and stocked frequently enough so can be unpleasant. On a normal day they are a bit dated but clean.”
“Awesome having this place so close to Wigan. So many different routes to do, can walk for miles, great with a pair of bins and dog by your side. Plenty to see, very relaxing setting considering it’s on doorstep of Wigan! Highly recommend if in the area”
“A nice little walk with plenty geese and ducks to see. A small children's park there too.”
“Lovely place to come for a walk or to chill out for a bit. It was popular when I visited, but wasn't too busy such that you could still walk around and find empty benches (though it was a bitter January day, so I can imagine during summer this location may be very busy). Plenty of ducks and geese to feed (please research food that is good for them - no bread!). It is very easy to get here from the railway station, though there is also a small car park available.”
“Wigan Nando’s is probably one of the best Nando’s I’ve been through the years. Staff are always friendly, in true Nando’s fashion get asked if the food is alright with a mouthful. Always a speedy service whether it’s eat in or takeaway, very clean and kept tidy. Also having an allergy it’s reassuring that the manager takes the order and the food prepared separately.”
“This place is so relaxing and great for a morning walk before work. So peaceful. It is very well looked after and a pleasure to see all the wildlife and trees etc each day.”
“i found a parking place even on saturday. It’s a free car park during every weekend. Thx to wigan council that they did a good job.”
“What a fantastic place to visit when there's bluebells garlic flowers and fresh green leaves. It has an abundance of bird life . So happy to have seen dippers on the stream . The sound of running water and bird song made it extra special. You access it from Danes avenue where there is ample parking . It's signposted as Rayner park . Walk up the avenue to the top where you will see a cemetery . Turn left and head towards the tunnels. It's a Mecca for dog walkers and nature lovers as well as hikers. You can walk all the way to Aspull.”
“Wow...what can I say this place is a little Gem!! It is my weekly treat to go here for Saturday breakfast whilst my son does Jujitsu. The food is OUTSTANDING. Always tasty and always fast. Tom and his team not only serve amazing food but they do it in what is simply an amazingly friendly and welcoming way. Not only would I recommend this truly fantastic establishment. I would go as far as to say that if you are in the Wigan area this is the only place to go if your hungry.”
“This is the best place for breakfast. Lovely welcome, my daughter loves it. Amazing food and amazing value. This is a really great place to stop chat and have something to eat or just a coffee. The staff are amazing, really good people.”
“Had an amazing experience at the cutting rooms, lovely staff and beautiful place, so so happy with my hair, would definetly recommend to all my friends and family Thank you the cutting room”
“First time visiting here and me and the family really enjoyed it, the paths have been well maintained so made it easy to walk around. There is quite a few benches around and near the main pond they have a couple of picnic benches. The swans and ducks there seemed really friendly and we managed to hand feed 2 of the swans. Spent around 3 hours there and still feel like we haven't seen all this place as to offer.”
“Regularly walk around, and live finding new things. The Enchanted Forest with the fairy houses is such a delight for the youngsters, and us oldies too.”
“Lovely place. You can have a short stroll around one lake or a couple of hours around them all and further into the woodlands to the streams, surrounded by countryside and varied species of birds including great crested cormorants, geese, robins etc. Benches well spaced out if you need a break. Free car park. Great place to unwind and enjoy nature. The banks of bluebells are lovely.”
“I have done delivery twice with my family this week. Both times everyone was overly pleased. Everyone said the food was great. And the delivery was fast considering the amount of food. We didn’t have any messed up orders. Cool prices. Below is a photo of the lamb doner and chips:”
“Crackin wee pub, good pizzas, order the extra hot You can take the rip out of the bar staff without them crying. Good quiz on a Tuesday hosted by the best quiz master of all time”
“Brilliant and very helpful. I had an issue with my Eazy pod after someone removed all the shiny bits. New parts sourced and posted out. Eazy pod moved and secured... The Filter itself is very good. I was gutted when someone damaged it. Close to getting it back up and running now thanks to the help received”
“Great little store. Tiny footprint, but they've crammed a lot in. I've never been an M&S shopper (due to their history of funding the Tories!), but I guess I've mellowed a bit with age and being super tired after work have succumbed... As with all places I shop, the face to face experience means a lot, and the staff here are always pleasant and helpful. Good on 'em.”
“Huge carpark, great atmosphere and friendly staff.”
“Food is amazing. Chilli sauce to die for”
“Great food,good customer service”
“This was my first visit to Pizza Hut in Robin Park, Wigan, and I really enjoyed it. The ambience was very pleasant, and the place was kept very clean. The person who attended to me had a beautiful smile and was very kind, which I really appreciated. The food was also better than I expected, and overall, it was a very nice experience.”
“Brill place to fish except some dossers so just keep aware, it is reasonable stocked with carp, bream, roach, Rudd, Perch only a few tench tho, some big bream to be caught in them up the 3 pounds and carp up to 18 reportedly recently lots of doubles tho about 10 pound in there, really good days fishing especially if you get em feeding.”
