   Excellent place to walk, especially with a dog. And if it's like our golden retriever, they will love all the water! There's a nice path next to the canal and reasonably clean paths on the forested area, not too boggy even with rain. Lots of ducks and swans.

   Awesome having this place so close to Wigan. So many different routes to do, can walk for miles, great with a pair of bins and dog by your side. Plenty to see, very relaxing setting considering it’s on doorstep of Wigan! Highly recommend if in the area

   Nice walk between the flash and canal then over the bridge and walk back. Good walk for the dog. Lots of cyclists as it is a shared space but some cyclists seem to think they have more right and go two abreast so pass very close to walkers. Other cyclists were great and we both gave each other space. Flash stunk of either poop or just stagnant water and some suspicious foam was on the shore.

   What a lovely place. Did a 14 mile walk yesterday. Well kept paths. Parks very busy. Probably because it was a Sunday.? Only let down on the walk was the vast amount of litter. Lots on Wigan road and the most of it in bin bags in two brooks which was a disgrace especially when one Brook was opposite the recycling centre.!!!! But we will be doing the walk again. Plenty of new information boards which were very informative.

   Visited in Feb 23, starting from Cemetary Road, Ince in Makerfield. We walked around several of the flashes, covering about 4.5 miles. Despite the positive reviews, I came away feeling that it was an absolute embarrassment for Wigan and Wigan Council. Fly tipping, litter, poor maintenance - this place had all the negatives that ruined what could be a pretty walk. Also worth noting that during our entire walk there wasn't a single dustbin - so lots of dog poo bags hanging in trees ☹️
