Lovely place to let the dogs have a good run off lead. Only downside is all the facilities are over on Gwersyllt side.
The lad and I took our bikes here and we parked up on the Llay side. Great place to ride, run, play, picnic etc
Had a lovely walk with our dogs, lots of space for them to run. Good paths for the wheelchair and also tracks through the woods. Used by parents with small children and buggies, walkers, cyclists and dog walkers.
Having read the reviews, this is definitely a good place for walking your dog. Our pup did alot of exploring & loved the river. There's a Visitors Centre but we didn't go inside. £1 parking all day. Enjoyed it here & will visit again.
We are lucky in wrexham to have so many public outdoor spaces. Thank you wrexham council.
Gresford side has better facilities and easier access to the river. Llay side has a better park and playing field plus a skate park. For the kids go the llay side, for icecream and dog walking goto the gresford side. There is a park on the gresford side but the items are either broken or to large for small children. I'm not sure what the obsticle/climbing park is good for.
Great for dog walkers and ramblers who, in the main, respect each others space.
Lovely park, great trails for walking or running.
