Great park to walk around, relax, unwind and just enjoy the moments. Full of wildlife, flowers and plenty of walk ways. The Squirrels will take nuts from you as well. The park is well looked after with lots of seating and disabled access. Plenty places to sit and enjoy the scenery, there is also a park for kids, so could be good for a family day out, with Chester town centre just around the corner.

A lovely, long park ideal for a family day out. It features playgrounds for children, a fun miniature railway, and plenty of seating areas to relax. The atmosphere is clean and pleasant. Toilets and cafés are available, and the blooming flowers add extra beauty to the park’s peaceful surroundings.

Lovely green place to visit. Clean and tidy. If you’re dog walker then it must be kept on a lead. Even good place for river views. God place for children to play. It must be lovely day out in summer for a picnic not bad in autumn either. Worth to visit and have a walk at the edge of river

A very nice well maintained little park. It's in a nice location next to the Riverside with shops not too far away. I found the park quite small compared to some I've been too, but it was good for a short walk around and the various Roman ruins gave the park a bit of character. At the time of visit there were tents inside being used as an open air theatre, however I did not use this myself. There was also a merry-go-round and small train ride for the kids, however the size of the track was short so the ride was over fairly quickly. Although there are a couple of multistory carparks in the area, these are mainly there for shopping centres and other shops, so being a new visitor to the area I felt a bit let down by the local Council for NOT providing any large open air carparks dedicated to the use of the park or riverside visitors.

Impressive gardens perfect for a leisurely walk through, seating available and for children (and their parents) a miniature railway is a pleasant offering. Squirrels are plentiful and for the first time we saw members of the public feeding them by hand. Nuts I assume but one young lady was actually stroking the squirrel's back whilst being fed. What with the beautiful weather, and pleasant flowers arrangements, it was a restful couple of hours, but also some picture taking opportunities.

A lovely park near Chester town centre. Nice relaxing walks with lots of interesting things to see and quite a few entrances/exits to different areas of the town. There are also plenty of maps around so that you know where you are. Toilets are also available.

I didn't realise how friendly the squirrels were until I got there (didn't do any prior research) so it was a nice surprise! Some kind ladies gave us their leftover bag of nuts, so I had great fun feeding the squirrels. Absolutely gorgeous garden with a wide variety of flowers and sculptures.

Beautiful gardens for a great walk! We really enjoyed our time here and got to feed some of the birds as well! All the plants and gardens seem well looked after and it's a really nice quiet get away from the main city centre. Really peaceful walks and great views as well as a children's play area and mini railway. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the city There are also public toilets here that seem to always be open which is always a bonus!
