“The amphitheatre is one of the best historical sites in Chester. Even though it’s only half excavated, you get a sense if the size and grandeur it once held in its Roman heyday. Road running behind is annoying, as is the derelict Dee House that covers the other half, but it’s still a must see in Chester!”

“Went here Christmas eve, place is amazing inside, great architecture and kept all original features with a modern twist, gorgeous food and the best cocktails. Shut early as it was Xmas eve, but can imagine it being a buzz at a normal weekend.”

“I went to see Jamie on the opening night and it certainly didn't disappoint. As a huge Jamie fan and seeing it in theatre across the UK numerous times, I couldn't miss the opportunity to go to see the young talented people in the OTMYT. I was blown away with the whole show, and what they can do at this level. Jamie's mum had an unbelievable voice, as did Pritti. I admire the confidence of each and every one of them, and I hope to see some of them over the years in bigger theatres! Well done all, cast and crew. I'll be back again for another show.”

“Lovely green place to visit. Clean and tidy. If you’re dog walker then it must be kept on a lead. Even good place for river views. God place for children to play. It must be lovely day out in summer for a picnic not bad in autumn either. Worth to visit and have a walk at the edge of river”

“I go there for a pilates class the people who run it are brilliant Would reconmend it. If you want a meeting place U could not fault it room for bikes to be taken inside and places for them to be locked up outside, Alongside cycle path there is parking”

“Cineworld Broughton is hands down one of the best spots for a movie night in the area! The highlight has to be the 4D cinema experience – it’s next-level. The moving seats, wind, scents, and effects really pull you into the action. Makes watching a film feel like an adventure! The cinema itself is spacious, clean, and well-kept. There’s plenty of parking too, so no stress about finding a spot, even on busy weekends. Loads of food options nearby if you want to grab a bite before or after your movie. Perfect place for families, date nights, or just catching the latest blockbuster with mates. Definitely worth checking out if you haven’t tried the 4D yet – it’s a game changer!”

“If you're after a fun event space that oozes character, then try Alexander's Live. We're local to Chester so we were already familiar with the venue from our visits to their weekly Comedy Club (they're excellent too!) and decided that we wanted to host our wedding there. Our conversations were with Jamie, the venue's owner, who was faultless in his accommodation of our needs and wants for the big day. I was so pleased to hear that I could hang my homemade bunting up! We found him to be openminded and responsive— just what you want when you're organising any event! Jamie coordinated well with our other vendors too, ensuring they had all the information they needed to get set up for the day. The same can be said for all the staff at Alexander's Live. They gave impeccable service on the day - in fact, we can't praise them enough, they were such a dream: attentive, accommodating and pleasant. “lovely food, service was very nice and prompt, tables where clean and plates cleared quickly. Some dishes weren’t available but that didn’t impact the experience at all, still 50/60 still available, food stations were also kept clean soo overall very nice experience.
