“Absolutely fantastic. This year's Dick Whittington, was full of laughter, so much audience participation and brilliant cast.”
“A really great place honestly, it’s small but I think that’s a good thing”
“Lovely University at Plymouth but I really want to do PhD Philosophy at Swansea it’s a great start for my research I have a few Subjective ideas for a Good start, with you and you must be both very pleased now as I have my tuition fees given the “Yes” so I hope we can make a positive statement and let me enrol and I hope to meet you. “My daughter loves coming to SJ performing arts and has thoroughly enjoyed taking part in tap, street dance and musical theatre classes as well as their school holiday workshops, various productions and recently successfully auditioning to perform at Disney with her peers from SJ. She has come along very well since joining SJ and built confidence, new dance skills and formed some lovely friendships. I would recommend SJ performing arts to others who are thinking of putting their child into performing arts classes as they provide a variety of classes in different genres.”
“my daughter fell in love with dancing thanks to the wonderful teacher Mrs. Carmen. Lena eagerly attends ballet and performance classes. Mrs. Carmen always make a nice atmosphere, she prepared my daughter very well for her ballet exams. I highly recommend it❤️”
“Great staff, a big sound out to Cassie who was really friendly, polite and a credit to the company. The IMAX was as good as always and the sound was exceptional. Parking can be a bit fussy but no great deal breaker.”
“Traditional theatre. Comfortable enough for a decent performance so long as you're not 6 foot plus ascthe leg room is a little tight!!!”
“We arrived to see a note explaining no tickets could be bought because of a nationwide outage. We spotted someone who looked like a manager as we had wanted to use vouchers and couldn't use them online. The manager Mike stepped in and helped by giving us tickets. It must've been a stressful day dealing with the issue which was entirely not his fault yet he took the time to help. Vue is, in our opinion, the best cinema in Plymouth because it's really comfortable and cheaper than the opposition. And Mike's professionalism and kindness didn't go unnoticed.”
“Delicious fresh fish dishes and gorgeous scallops from the scallop shack. Make sure you book on the boat tour beforehand to get a discount on your meal.”
“Loved it! I had chicken wings with corn on the cob.”
“They are amazing with the kids they help build confidence in those who struggle to have it. Help those who need the extra push. They are considerate of children with special needs and easily accommodate their specific needs. They are undeniably special people that the children look up to and trust. I wouldn't send my child anywhere else!!! Being a part of PCTW is like having extended family for both the children and parents involved.”
“Great atmosphere, welcoming and friendly! Amy is amazing at what she does and there is a great variety with all the styles of dance any offers”
“Local church hall was lovely and film on the big screen great.”
“our daughter has been attending for 6 years and has grown so much in confidence. lovely family atmosphere.”
“Wow, what an amazing place. We just watched Young Frankenstein - fantastic performances from a hugely talented cast. The main characters were brilliant. As good as any shows I've seen in the Theatre Royal!”
“I have used this venue throughout the three years of my degree at the University of Plymouth. The IVT technician, Luke Christison, is very experienced and technical so he will be able to help you with anything you might want to do with the large screen space. Today, I used the IVT as a space for my final year project to present an experimental performance. While the resolution of the projector screen is not Full HD, it is a rare space which is hard to find in England. I feel lucky to have been able to use this space for my degree.”
“Had a lovely afternoon visit today, ordered all 3 courses and can't say a bad thing about any dish that we received. We was advised of waiting times and asked about any allergies when entering by Paul who also revisited to make sure everything was OK with our time there. My son has coeliac disease and Melanie took our order and made us feel there was definitely no worries about us dining there. Timings between ordering and receiving our food was just about right. The severs were all very pleasant and polite and made sure everything was just as we ordered.”
“Yoghurt the Yeti was a wonderful way to kick off our Christmas celebrations this year. Fantastic fun performance. The mid-morning show was perfect for our 2yo toddler. Home for Christmas tree decorating and lights up, all whilst dancing, clapping and singing. He absolutely loved his first theatre experience. Thank you for your dedication, silliness and creativity!”
“What a surreal visit! Totally beautiful amd so many nooks and crannies to see. Our visit was cut slightly short due to a theatre group using it to practice (which was awesome, they were doing we will rock you!) But we saw enough to be wowed.”
“Fab evening here last night watching HMS Pinafore. Very entertaining, extremely funny and want a fab performance by the team!! Come back next year please!! I used to live in this village and have been coming to Sterts since it first started (pre canvas roof!) It’s such a loved venue, please, please support it or you will lose it. I lived in Upton Cross from 1982-1995 and was sad to leave. Sterts has been part of my life whilst I was there, and since.”
“What a hidden gem this is !! Such a cool venue. I went to see the Riviera Ramblers....a jazz group. Their music perfectly suited the ambiance of the theatre and the audience really appreciated their performance and were very enthusiastic. Mary ( what a lovely host ) and her team provided refreshments ( alcoholic and tea and coffee ) and homemade cakes and biscuits and we were treated to what felt like a perfectly decadent Sunday afternoon.....so charming and heartwarming.....thank you”
“Absolutely stunning Venue. We loved working here alongside such a helpful team in their fully equipped kitchen to provide corporate catering, served within the immersive dome. We would love to come back to this venue, couldn't recommend it enough! Lily & The Four Elements Team x”
“Visited the Northcott Theatre on Saturday 11th October to watch a performance of The Ex Men. The show was brilliant, very informative and funny. I’m registered blind therefore my son asked if they had audio description sets I could use. This was also amazing, I would not really have known what was happening on stage but the audio description brought the whole thing to life. I really enjoyed the evening, the show was excellent, the staff was very helpful, prices in the bar was also good.”
“Love this local cinema , never really too busy maybe odd showing but went to see the andre reu cinema concert great! Thursday morning specials clean comfortable modern place”
“What a fantastic performance of ‘Come from away”. So professionally and warmly acted that you had the audience captivated from start to end. I like my interval break for an ice cream but I can see why this 1hr 40min of non-stop energy doesn’t have one - it would spoil the momentum and, anyway, the time flew by. I’ve seen it performed before in a West End theatre, probably equally well acted, but the intimacy of the Palace Theatre made it even more memorable and the standing ovations and rapturous applause for both actors and musicians was very well deserved. I can honestly say that it was the best performance I have ever seen at a theatre. Mark”
