Went one evening, plenty of parking and lots of space for a walk. The circular walk around the lake was good. Perfect for a dog walk.

Great play area, nice walks and we enjoyed some kayaking.

Lovely day out. Beautiful lake to walk around, big green space to play or enjoy a picnic. Huge fenced in play area with a wonderful splash zone. Carpark near the play park very busy on a sunny day but loads of spaces round the otherside of the lake carpark. Kayaks & paddleboards available to rent to go on the lake & seemed very reasonably priced.

This really was a majestic find for us! My wife and I enjoyed the scenery and autumnal foliage as well as the critters bounding about! The park offers some tremendous views of nature, very welcoming trails, and plenty of practical space for games and playgrounds for all ages. Most arresting to us were the swans that graced the lake. They and the ducks were very reasonably friendly and great for adding more tranquil ambience to the park. Pleasant people and gorgeous nature, we were right at home! Highly recommended!

Nice open spaces. Parking not too bad (ringo). Nice walks, nice lake for kayaking and fishing, kayaks and paddle board's can be hired there. Ice cream and a chill... ideal..

Beautiful, shady walks around the lake. Fishing allowed with permit at the lake but not at Magazine pool. Large open fields for sports, picnics and dog exercise. Play area with water fun for young children. Kiosk for snacks and ice creams. Very clean and well maintained park(help to keep it that way by using the litter bins located around the park!). Very Beautiful big park. Beautiful lake and play ground for children are the main attractions of this park. Very good place for relaxation. I went there with my friends and spent hours there. wide area for parking though we have to pay. Good place for young children to play . Can buy foods from there. Clean public toilet is also there. I do recommend this park.

A very popular woodland park in Newton Abbot situated to the south west of the town. Parking was adequate at 80p for two hours, £1.60 for four hours, payable by cash or contactless at the machine. There are public toilets, a kiosk selling hot pasties, snacks, drinks and icecreams etc. There is a huge lake with wildfowl in residence and a footpath that encircles it which has climbing frames and wooden obstacles to keep the kids entertained. There is a large children's playground with soft flooring and sports fields. I would say 2 hours is plenty for a visit with the kids.
