“Brilliant campsite! Stayed here for 3 nights. The facilities are brilliant, very clean and spacious. They allow use of a freezer to freeze ice packs, which is a real life saver when camping. Staff were very friendly and approachable. The food and drink in the restaurant was nice, we ate the first night, and went back again on the last as we enjoyed it that much. Good for walkers with lots of routes out of the site, equally good location central to lots of things to drive to.”
“Had a great time watching grandchildren in the aqua park at North Devon Wake Park. They had a fabulous time and can't wait to go again. Aged 8 and 10 meant they could go in and we could watch whilst staying dry. It is as safe as possible and very well organised. Staff are helpful and professional. We enjoyed a bite to eat, lovely coffee whilst watched wake boarders doing their thing. We were able to take our labradoodle with us, which is great.”

“When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and layout of pod, just right for what we booked for to get away for the peace and quietness. Views were superb. Also a lovely touch with the cream tea left for us on arrival. Five stars all around ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Desra and Grant”
“Wonderful SW wilderness, fantastic breathing space at any time of year. WW boating, climbing, mountain biking, trail running, hiking and wild camping. Such a magical place”
“An absolute must-do! Really enjoyed the distilling tour and tasting experience, Kirsty was an excellent guide and kept us entertained and engaged throughout. I will never view or taste gin in the same way, very enjoyable and excellent value for money. Highly recommend!”
“We had the pleasure of staying here in our campervan last weekend. The owners Fiona and Elaine were welcoming and took time with all new arrivals to see that they were happy and equipped with valuable local knowledge - (routing our cycling trip to minimise unnecessary hill climbing was very welcome! ) The onsite facilities were spacious and well appointed in a location that offers great access to a choice of fun places to eat & visit. The visiting coffee guy in a tiny three wheel scooter derived van was a nice touch in the morning. So thank you Fiona & Elaine, your site is happily added to our list of great places we plan on returning to.”
“Went here during our visit to Plymouth. Fantastic little place for walks lunch and scenery. We took the ferry which was quick and cheap. People were lovely and the kids had a fab time too.”
“This is a beautiful viewpoint, serene and never crowded! The green fields and the gentle terrain makes the walk very picturesque with a few benches to sit and enjoy the sights! The estuary looks amazing from here and so does Salcombe! On a sunny day a bottle of water in hand might be helpful!”
“4 night stay here, the lodge was spotless, had everything we could possibly need. Nice flat walk to a beautiful beach. The pool was also perfect. And the owners couldn’t have done enough.”
“Amazing park with beautiful views! Its definitely our favorite park in the UK! Strongly recommended to walk and enjoy with stunning views.”
“Was lucky with having a nice, sunny, warm day. Enjoyed walking around, plenty of seats to sit and watch the ships. Lots of parking spaces on the day I was there.”
“Hidden gem, very limited parking. Lovely place to take the kids to stretch their legs. Amazing views of the river.”
“Another great week at Looe Country Park on our seasonal touring caravan pitch. Very festive with lots of Christmas lights. As before lovely and quiet, clean modern toilets with good showers. The nearby 'Coddy Shack' does good meals. Mount Edgecumbe at Rame Head is worth a visit (interesting coastal walks, great café).”
“Great play area, nice walks and we enjoyed some kayaking.”
“The Meadows is always a pleasure to visit. I probably walk around the park 5 or 6 times a week. A very special place, the river on one side, the canal on the other. A fantastic time of year to visit, flowers, cherry blossom and ducklings.”
“Great place for a walk around the lake. If you look closely you can spot all types of birds. It's a great place to bring the kids to engage in nature.”
“We took our four year old and were there all day without getting bored or fed up. We had a happy exhausted child after. Good outdoors wholesome fun, loads to do. Cafe is expensive but it’s worth it because the food is great and big portions. Sit inside during summer - the wasps aren’t shy. We loved it and will come back again.”
“Seagulls jumping on the tables scoffing food because staff don't clear down tablets fast enough, it wasn't like it was busy. No access to beach from cafe. The lake and grass is well kept. Very tranquil area. Toilets by the carpark.”
“Must visit Jolly Jack's whilst your there. Good food, coffee and wine. We walk past the cricket grounds and arrive at the tower with spectacular views from Torpoint....the dividing river....Mount edgecombe...the sound....William Yard....the city and Devonport. 360 degrees of history of the city. Walk on down towards Mount wise pools on right and Richmond walk on left. Go kayaking, water boarding, sailing, swimming, dog walking, you willnlove it. Best bit of Plymouth in my oppinion”
“This little hidden green peace of peace and quite heaven hidden away in plymstock is a must visit with your other half, kids, dogs. Its a beautiful walk through woods along the rivers edge leading to green fields with a lake and estuary towards the far end, beautiful.”
“Lots of green spaces. A duck pond with a duck food dispenser. Bumper boats for the kids. Also, a bouncy castle. Right on a dog friendly beach. A 2 minute walk to a Costa and ice cream shop. Plenty of parking too. A really lovely park to visit.”
“We had a pleasant 4-night stay at Notter Mill Country Park in February. Our main reason for the visit was to see family, and the comfortable bed & modern kitchen in our accommodation was a definite plus. Upon arrival, we were impressed by the cleanliness of the place. The hot tub was a highlight for us - it was well-maintained and very hot. Another cozy touch was the lovely log fire that added to our overall experience. However, we did encounter some minor issues. Adjusting the shower temperature was a bit tricky, and the muddy grounds due to the wet weather made getting in and out the car a pain, but the wet weather can’t be helped. We would definitely consider staying at Notter Mill Country Park again in the future.”
“We come to the milky way every year and have always had an amazing time. The rides are fun and the soft play and pottery shed is always a good time. However the highlight of the day are the birds of prey. The bird show is amazing and even though it's normal very similar each year, always worth watching. How are work is beautiful and is my mother in-law favourite artist, so we always have a look at how art and the fact you can meet the birds that they are basted on makes it more special. I don't recommend the cafe, it's basic food and the setting in both cafes are uncomfortable and tbh very expensive however there are plenty of seating to eat an packlunch. It's a welcome to all children of all like and dislikes and all ages. Get there by 11 am and watch the magic show its funny and interesting.”
“Notter bridge is a great location; central to many great beaches and nature trails - perfect for the summer! We did have the weather on our side, which allowed us to fully explore the area. We particularly enjoyed visiting Looe, Polperro, Batham and Golitha falls! Willow lodge was immaculately presented and fully kitted out. The hot tub was an added bonus to come back to after a long day at the beach! Yes, Willow lodge is close to the road (as other reviews had mentioned) but it did not bother us at all, even myself as a light sleeper! Our host Jonathan, came to greet us on arrival and was more than helpful throughout our stay! All in all, a fab week away at Notter Bridge, which we have already recommended to friends!”
“Oktoberfest. Good fun had by all.”
“Be a much better place if they got rid of the Gus train bell. No one enjoys the sound. Train can stay, bell should go.”
“Such a beautiful place with fantastic views towards the river Tamar and further up the creek”
“I came here a lot as a kid and now my kids enjoying the newly renovated play area. The park is well looked after. Great spot for tea or coffee too”
