We had the pleasure of staying here in our campervan last weekend. The owners Fiona and Elaine were welcoming and took time with all new arrivals to see that they were happy and equipped with valuable local knowledge - (routing our cycling trip to minimise unnecessary hill climbing was very welcome! ) The onsite facilities were spacious and well appointed in a location that offers great access to a choice of fun places to eat & visit. The visiting coffee guy in a tiny three wheel scooter derived van was a nice touch in the morning. So thank you Fiona & Elaine, your site is happily added to our list of great places we plan on returning to.
We had such a wonderful week’s holiday, real gem. Spacious pitches with wonderful views and spectacular sunsets. A special thank you to Fiona the joint owner of the site with her sister Elaine. She was so welcoming after a long journey. A well run site with clean facilities, even a little herb garden by the shop to help yourself to. Molly our labrador pup loved the wonderful dog walk on site, and shower following a day on the beach. We’ll definitely visit again next year. Tim & Marilyn
We stayed at Bolberry House Farm in June in our campervan with our two dogs and had an absolutely fantastic experience. The site is incredibly dog-friendly – there’s a dedicated dog walking area, a dog wash (super handy after muddy adventures!), plus plenty of poo bins and bags provided, which really shows how much they care about keeping the site clean and welcoming for everyone. The owners were absolutely lovely – friendly, helpful, and full of local knowledge. They gave us a list of great walks in the area, which we really appreciated. The location is perfect for exploring the South Devon coast – we enjoyed both the longer scenic walk to Hope Cove via the coast path and the shorter route across the fields when we wanted something quicker. The toilet and shower block was spotless throughout our stay, which made a big difference. Overall, a peaceful, well-kept site with a warm, welcoming feel. We’d highly recommend Bolberry House Farm to anyone – especially if you’re travelling with dogs!
An absolute gem of a campsite! We stayed here with our camper and this is one of the best sites we’ve ever stayed on! Facilities are absolutely immaculate and the small extra homely touches really do make this place. Fiona the owner and campsite host is so lovely! She me us with maps and photos of the local area, explaining walking routes, what was surrounding us and also recommended great places to eat. If you’re in this area don’t miss this absolute stunning site with lovely views, walks and surroundings
So far is the worst place I have ever been camping. The best part about the campsite is the other places where you are advised to go if you wanna see some views or have some food, so the site offers absolutely nothing. You have no view, the internet that you have to pay for it it's a waste of money and they don't tell you that is not working,the excuse is " it's a third party" well it's on your site do something about it. Facilities pay for everything and the worst part You're not allowed to have an open fire, safety issues I understand but again that should be discussed before paying to come to the site. Oh yes m, it is a clean site that's probably the only good thing I can say. I suggest to check the nearby sites if you want to fully enjoy a proper campsite.
I came across this site by chance after leaving another nearby site due to an unpleasant experience. I met Fiona there and she welcomed me and my doggos with warmth and open arms. I'm so glad I found Bolberry House as I felt immediately relaxed and at ease. It's so peaceful with mostly flat pitches and a fantastic new shower block. The night sky is huge and on the clear nights I had, you could gaze at every star, satellite and planet. The sunset and sunrise were pretty amazing too! A walk along the coastal path to Salcombe is a good stretch of the legs but with jaw-dropping views and there is a lovely cafe/restaurant/bar just up the road if you fancy a romantic sunset meal. (I can imagine the wind blowing a hooey in the winter mind) This is my new go-to place for peace and relaxation. Fiona is the perfect host and proof that kind people still exist in this world. I will be back.
Fantastic camp site staff very friendly and so helpful. Nice walk to the local sea side village. Only complaint the showers could do with a better way to store clothes while you take a shower
This was our 4th trip in the past 12 months. Elaine is as always super friendly and helpful, always ready to recommend places to eat or visit. The new (opened 2021) toilet/shower/kitchen block are of a high standard with showers free of charge. The site is reasonably level at one end, with a bit of a slope at the other. Access for the final 1 mile s via narrow roads - I tow a twin axle caravan and have always managed without any issues - if you're a competent tow driver you will be fine. This is a quiet site - we have never been woken at night. We highly recommend.
