Excellent full English breakfast, too. Because the weather was good, we had breakfast outside, and they set their garden furniture beautifully. Their garden is stunning, like a country garden from a magazine. Peaceful and so very pretty. The Lions is perfectly located to get into town or surrounding areas.”

“We spent Easter weekend at this lovely B&B and will most certainly be back. Our family room was excellent, spotlessly clean, breakfast was delicious. Also did some fishing in the onsite lake. 10 min walk from the Horse and Jockey pub where we had a nice evening meal and also another meal at Pesto at The Peacock which was also very good. Bottle feeding the lamb and the Easter treats were a lovely touch. Thanks for hosting us!”

“Great location and ideal for a getaway. So close to Chatsworth House, so we made full use of the pub & farm shop also situated in Pilsley which boasts veggies from the estate. Breakfast was fantastic - filled out a form the night before with exactly what you liked. I had fresh fruit, which was all fresh! And my partner opted for the full fry up, and cleared the plate every time. Well-adjusted to the COVID-19 safety precautions as well, plenty of sanitiser available and everything was organized so there was minimal contact with other guests.”
